"feller" means nothing to me. It sounds like something cowboys would say to each other in 1950s/60s westerns.

It was a joke, because Bob Feller. It’s definitely not a baseball clue.

The only thing I can think of that isn’t slang or deep south speak for fellow is that a feller could be someone who fells something.

If L6 is a lock like D1iab said, maybe it’s logger and the target is lumberjack. A lumberjack fells trees (is a feller).

Not sure what h7 might be in that context, but I’ll think about it.

Feller to me is just another way of saying fellow.
