SIDES - Inaugural Game Thread
In this thread, we will play a new word game called Sides. It's somewhat similar to codenames, but cooperative and diff
Sweet
Good clues
Nothing made sense with normal words for muscles and it wasnβt a clue lots thought of or thought of early so tried to think of non-conventional words it could have been inspired by.
Round 13:
Cards used: 15
Guessers: nich/zeus
The Board:
B | DL | M | C | IH | JOVW | UNKQ
The target word:
Someone rand a word from the sheet and pm to pogcrazy94, d1iabol1cal, amazingervin, ibedrummin, bolt2112

Iβve got a left field idea
B5 is Bluto which is a stand in for the letter they wish they had which is P for Popeye
V9 is vegetable and k4 is kale
Spinach builds muscles in Popeye at least
Epic post
I don't know how you got inspired into this and would be curious to hear, from nothing to land here - incredible
Maybe worried weβd go lettuce or cabbage or something? But yeah, I think kale usually gets there also
Wilt/wilts/wilted I thought of but isnβt really the most prominent thing it does, but I could see it
Letβs try it; if not, b5 will get us back to the right path
spinach
Wilting is definitely the most prominent thing spinach does lmao
The most prominent thing spinach does is grow Popeye's muscles.
I associate wilting with lettuce as much as I do with cabbage. It was a coin flip in my mind. I had a strong feeling that "muscles" + "Bluto" was guaranteed to get us there in 2 clues at worst. Especially when they figured out that V9 was vegetable.
Target sent.
I don't know what I'd clue if I had access to all 26 letters of the alphabet. This one will be tricky.

I had eliminated nutrition/vitamins but still had keto for k4 on mind so was thinking about words related like meat and protein and smoothies
And once I had spinach in my head, it immediately related to muscles based on Popeye. Then vegetable was easy confirmer to get once thinking of a vegetable option
I think our best strategy is we give the first clue, and when they get it wrong, we can hopefully tell them that they're at 50%. The the second clue finishes the job.
But I don't know what those clues might be. B4/B7 might be a start.
D5/D7 maybe?
O6 as well
Oh how about N6? I reckon N6 and O6 could get it, maybe N6 on it's own if they figure out other clues
B5 only thing I can think of from other side
N6 is a good clue but we need confirmers
What about opposite b4/b7? Probably opposite b4
I like the opposite idea. Tho I’m probably more on b7 haha
So if you know our target q5/the never heard q7 is kinda cool, k4/k6 more vague
We could do something like a b4/b7 into q7/k6
But just opposite b4/b7 with these confirmers may be enough now...
Think I prefer opposite b6 to the others, though they're all much the same.
Idk why I didn't really think b6 - I guess cause feels like it could go astray easier...but as opposite and with all the other clues I'm starting to think they can figure this out
Well if other people like it and wanna fire opposite b6 seems like a fine way to go
I have an idea of opposite b6 but I'm not sure that I have the right word.
I also don't have any big inspiration, so if someone wants to bold, I'm fine with it.
I think someone just bolds whatever, Nich figures it out, we move on to the next round
*this is an opposite clue*
burner
Fire extinguisher first instinct for opposite of burner
busy day, will try to look at this in a bit
for now,
opposite of burner could be things like:
fire extinguisher
fire department
fireman
other opposite of fire type words
or burner could be like burner phone so temporary, so opposite burner would be permanent or things like that
Hmm I doubt its phone - that just feels too loose
I think it'll be an extinguisher- and fireman hopefully has better clues
