Good job

And yeah, my c5 was for chupa/chups which I'm pretty sure is by far the biggest lollipop brand in the world.

Nice; dunno why I got off of jolly rancher so fast when it was first thought for jolly…great clue

I must admit I just listened to all 3 pitch perfect movies 2 days ago driving home on road trip but I don’t think that counts as research…I think my daughter who hadn’t seen them before so watched in her seat was disturbed by how well I knew the movies lol

But that didn’t help me get it; just gave me a guess for m4

Round 11:

Cards used: 11
Guessers: nich/pog

The Board:

EF | A | IH | C | T | C | M

The target word:
Some Rand a word and pm it to insanity31, amazingervin, bolt2112, doctor zeus, ibedrummin and d1iabol1cal

Sheet link:

E9 seems prettay prettay good, with f4 as confirmer.

Yeah, e9 seems pretty solid

Works for me

I think I’m just on Jolly Rancher as the clueC5 is candy that’s broader than the otherC6 could be Charms who makes Blow PopsFruit-flavored is 14 lettersSo lollipop is the wordPitch Perfect has a song about sucking too hard on a lollipop that maybe is by Mika for m4? He did that β€œI could be brown I could be blue I could be violet sky” thing that gets stuck in your head that Rya

HOW?!

Yeah my M4 was Mika, he has a song called Lollipop and C5 was Chupa

M3 was man, lollipop man are called crossing guards over there I think

E9

Does not seem bad indeed

explosive

Diarrhoea

NEXT!

My first thought was tnt but I like that

F4 fart

lol I was joking but would be funny if it's actually right

Only other word I can think of is dynamite but can't think of an F4 for it

No C4 (Taio Cruz for the song but maybe not well known)

The Board:

EF | A | IH | C | T | C | M

normal use of explosive:
dynamite
TNT
bomb
detonation
c4
canon
grenade
missile
etc

but they said explosive, not explosives; and also said explosive not explosion...

and you'd think they'd want to differentiate between the list above with more confirmers...

f4 could be fire, which hits cannon better than the others I think

no Army or Military or Marines etc. to put us on the missile/grenade/bazooka line of words
no A6 for Alfred Nobel; pretty well known he invented dynamite
no AC/DC for TNT

removing dynamite/tnt and grenade/missile/etc we are left with cannon and bomb

no a3 for arm for bomb or opposite a3 for disarm bomb
no atomic for bomb means bomb should be out

for diarrhea, no opposite constipation, no feces, no ass, no flush, etc.

No A6 Aileen for Cannon but maybe they just weren't thinking of the name possibility

no A9 artillery either

it's also possible that many of them were thinking e9 was explosion not explosive

without e9/e10 mentioned for explosive/explosives, that's more likely

but at end of day, they chose not to give confirmers so thought explosive by itself would be enough

ok, time to get real

I doubt diarrhea is the word here given the lack of confirmers
it's not TNT without AC/DC
we've had bomb before
no military terms for missile, grenade

so that's what it's not...what could it be?

dynamite or cannon

no Alfred for dynamite, though f4 could be fuse...maybe they didn't think of Alfred; I'd ding it more for missing Nobel if there was an N card available...so dynamite is still definitely in play here

f4 is likely fire or fuse and both work with cannon, so cannon could work

Aileen I could see being overlooked, tho woulda been super clutch clue; artillery would have been good, but that brings in military terms so could be afraid of missiles, etc. and so didn't mention that

other than those 2, not much in the way of confirmers so cannon seems decent; I doubt they miss AC/DC for TNT and doubt they miss military terms like Army for missile/grenade/etc.

so dynamite or cannon

when you think of explosives, you think of dynamite (tho they didn't mention pluralizing)
cannon you think more fire/fuse...the cannon isn't an explosive any more than a gun is...and there is no artillery for cannon nor Aileen

I think missing Alfred is the most reasonable here and they are also most likely to think if they just clue "explosive" that dynamite is first to mind so no confirmers needed...if you looked up explosive in the dictionary, it'd have a picture of dynamite next to it, not a picture of a cannon

so i'm 80% dynamite, 20% cannon at this point

thoughts?

Yeah i'm leaning dynamite as well, prob not as confident as 80% but go for it imo

If cannon is the word it’s likely everyone doesn’t immediately know e9

And they go for more confirmers

If it’s dynamite then everyone knows e9 and nobody cares about confirmers

Lord have mercy

well now I'm wondering if the team was thinking explosion and not explosive, but obviously this is trivial when nich is guessing

I was definitely thinking explosive. In fact I almost posted that there were 2 e9s but I'm sure everyone knows the best one, but then I didn't bother.

yeah, explosive

almost asked if we should use e10 instead, but wanted to give them a challenge

Yeah now that I know it’s dynamite, explosive is better because dynamite is the main example of an explosive
