If we use a it opens up b7/b8 but I think if we clue o6 they deduce b7/b8 and also they get the target

So unless there is a banger a then it seems like o6 is best?

A8 is not as good as O6, but I think they should get it. If you go back to the start of the discussion, you should know A8

the main reason i was saying to use A is that there is another A card coming on the other side. that could be brutal

true; it's 2 in so i'm not as worried, but it is a consideration

if you have an A that will work then I'm fine with that
