SIDES - Inaugural Game Thread

I feel dumb because I don't know any of these clues you guys are talking about. I've got an L4 and a D10 that I think are decent when combined with shoots.

But if filthy thinks his d9 gets it in 1, let's go with that?

I don’t know what anybody’s word is except c5 but it seems like we have 2 d words and an l word and a c word so we got words for every card and hopefully we can get them there before we use them all

Actually I got a good L5 (use caps for L please because there are l and I cards on the board)

Desiduous is a type of tree that loses its leaves in the fall. I can't believe that the answer is "tree". There have to be better clues than "shoots" if the answer is "tree". Can it be a type of a tree? It's not maple. Syrup would have been the opening clue. Oak? Pine? Could it be something like "Jungle"? I still don't have an answer that pops out at me.

Could it be tree? Surely there's a clue that starts with S, I, or H that's better than "shoots".

Let's assume for a moment it's tree. What clue would you give starting with S, I, or H?

deciduous is a class of trees. stem is peripheral. i don't see how filthy is 80% if it's stem.

more likely, filthy is 80% confident that one of us knows what deciduous means.

Maybe it's Autumn? Because the leaves fall?

If it's Autumn then the initial S6 clue is "Season". It occurs to me that if you go back in the thread, Nich said he had a "meh" S4 clue. Stem?

The only reason I'm not jumping up and down on "tree" is that Sycamore wasn't the initial clue. Or better still, spruce.

I like h3 a lot and c5 is a must at some point

I’m not sure how to estimate how cold/warm forest bed is, but I can confidently say deciduous sits in the less useful/accurate bucket.

agreed; shoots is much more useful/accurate than deciduous imo

I might know what the h3 is. No idea what the c5 is, unless it's similar to the h3 I'm thinking of, but I doubt it. There is a c4 that should get it tho.

Deciduous is nothing like an opposite clue imo...tho I didn't know what it meant and it sounds like something a Disney villain would be

h3 could work, a week c3 could work, there's still the obscure L5 too

H3 is needed to get them on the right track I think
