I'd probably do a k3 or n6 + d9, which would definitely get close to the word at a minimum. This is really hard tho.

I think D9 is the best out of all that stuff. And then U8 is the other planet but combined maybe has a chance

D9 isn't the easiest to think of but prob the closest out of everything

Is the d9 similar to the c5? If it isn't then I don't know it either. It's also entirely possible I have no idea what either is lol. Neither of them are all that close to the word.

Actually now I think the c5 is different.

Maybe k3/n6>r6>c5 is the way to go. That should work I think, and I'm not sure there are any straightforward paths to getting it in 2.

Or c7 instead of c5 might be slightly better.

We're never ever ever getting this in 1. I think our best chance is to free up the R. We could do R4 or R7. I think we could do a K3 or N6 that could work in combination with one of the Rs and give us a shot at a 2.

I think D9 —> F5 could get us there in two.

Note: we shouldn’t talk about interior cards; I don’t mind but we agreed to only discuss the outside and one from outside cards as best option

I don't know if we're thinking of the same D9 but I'll sign off on you trying the plan anyway haha, tho I don't know the F5 tho maybe I do

I don't know what that is, but you'd have to be pretty confident it gets there in 2 because we could be in big trouble if it doesn't.

Coming at this from a slightly different angle, we could go for a g5 or opposite r8 which doesn't hit the word directly, but may still get there.

Oh I think I figured out the F5 and that seems a great way to go, so yea I think D9 if we have the same one is best route to start

If it works then fine, but the other side of the board has a lot more directions we can take if things go pear-shaped.

I might be crazy overconfident here, but I could almost see D9 getting it in one by them deducing F5.

I’d feel more confident about getting it in two if another cluer knew what Ervin and I were referring to with this combo.

I'd rather keep the card w 4 letters for the future as it's more flexible

I feel good about the F5 so I could bold that one if you wanna do D9 in case we have different one but seems we're on the same page

F5 I feel totally confident we have the same and I think our other teammates could think of it too, seems quite strong

I don't know D9 and I fear F5 is only strong if you ready know the answer.
