I needed to get a 3 clue and I really struggled with row/soul/chick. I was really referencing the sirens from greek mythology in that they're female and get sailors to row towards them and not a soul returns. I didnt see anything i thought related to the other meaning so i just went for it. My other thought was something like Winehouse - 3 in that she was a soul singer who was always involved with some kind of row with the press but that last bit was such a stretch plus angel was a big blocker

I wasn't thinking Angel for soccer. I didn't hold out huge amounts of hope that your soccer knowledge ran deep.
I was thinking foot net ans maybe tag. We'd call it a tackle but tag is sorta similar.
Once you had Angel as a backup though I would definitely lean into if and do a 2 clue for lock and tag.
A rugby-3 clue actually fits better for foot, tag (tag rugby is a variation of the game for young children) and lock (lock is a playing position). But I didn't think you'd get it and that soccer - 3 would yield better results.

Lots of possibilities, but Pit and Rabbit seem most clear to me.
I'd be amazed if it was anything other than rabbit and hole.
We should throw a backup up there just in case, but I'd be more inclined to rule backup words out as possible words.
Seems like plot and cover are not ours .
Hmm..plot does work pretty well. I don't like taking either of the others out though.
