In my youth I went to a tryout held by the Cincinnati Reds. I have no idea why the Reds held a tryout in Michigan, but there was no way I was going to miss it. Was not close to good enough to earn an offer, though.

It would be interesting to know if teenage me would listen to old man me (if I could go back in time) and do what needed to be done to actually have a chance.

imo it's really not worth the sacrifice. or maybe I just tell myself that to make myself feel better. but I really think it's not worth it. I'd rather be able to just spend the day in bed, play games, watch shitty tv, get high... spend time with friends. just be free, and live life. I don't want to dedicate 60 hours a week to doing some bullshit.

At least the stock market is doing great again

Is she in The Boys?

Or vice versa.

Finally at about 4 pm today I suddenly started feeling like a human again. Have just eaten a completely divine meal of roasted napa cabbage with olive and sesame oil, sesame seeds, apple cider vinegar, and soy sauce.

That's an interesting version of the B.R.A.T. diet. 😀

I'm glad you're feeling better.

Green screen

idk, I see a Game of Thrones castle

Boomer Check

Surprise!

rigatoni and peas with a vegetarian "meat" sauce--I was lazy and used a commercial meat replacement, plus Cans of Stuff and Jars of Spices combined with a Double Glug of Olive Oil and Various Splashes of Balsalmic and Vegan Worcestershire sauce

Oh YEAH, Yumm! That is WAY better than singed cabbage. 😀

It WAS super delicious, but the roasted cabbage was all caramelly and tasty too...I swear, if you'd been here to try it, you would have loved it.

When I was young, my Grandma use to make cabbage rolls (cabbage wrapped ground meat). She would cook them in a pot with a bit of liquid in the bottom. After the cooking, she would then take them out of the pot and brown them in a pan. They were fantastic.

lol.

I also love having lots of strips of red cabbage in my salad for texture and crunch.

oh and also there's coleslaw. (obv with fried chicken/fish/shrimp)

damn I wish I had more pork rinds

Instacart!

jfc man!!! i'd h ave to download the app! I can't deal with all that. i'd be better off walking 1.5 miles to smart and final and buying pork rinds and cheap wine

it's kind of a dangerous walk, cuz it's in the kind of ghetto

I never understood coleslaw

and I'm about the farthest thing from a picky eater

i've wanted to like pork rinds ever since learning of their existence through waynes world and having finally tried them i was deeply disapointed
