yeah that was a bad situation; match/shakespeare makeups but day was neutral blocker

and had to get spell, scuba, code, stick along with those 2 makeups

I intended Greg Norman for Iron, Match, Kangaroo, Stick. When your list was Day/Match/Shakespeare, I effectively slotted that clue for Iron/Match/Kangaroo/Shakespeare, and clued unlimited to point you to MAtch/Shakespeare.

Snorkel I was specifically trying to point to German subs, so Code and Scuba Diver.

Had no idea how to even try to win here in two.

great job on that first clue, red! put the pressure on them and setup the win

I thought a bit about my 2nd clue and settled on silver and was so happy when I saw you got the conductor/plate angle and didn't go for other options; I also avoided gold due to straw

final clue would have been buckle - unlimited since tokyo was 2nd on your list; also had karate as a clue for belt+tokyo tho match wasn't great blocker for us there

Norman was a great clue; basically golf + australia to pick up half your words; I guess a 5 clue to get Shakespeare also works even better

if they do australia/shakespeare then iron/stick for club and match for game then you are left with spell, scuba, code which is a rough trio, though

blue list was just tough; not seeing how to get it in 2

Oh yeah I figured you could possibly get stick from Snorkel, too.

oh yeah, Luxor is a city (Luxor, Egypt) so was hoping for Tokyo to be above Bermuda on the list for city connection, not that it mattered because it was high enough on the list

Luxor was brilliant and effective won the dang game. Good job.

Great clues, Nich. High five, eb. gg

Nice work team. Luxor clue was so good.

Seeing casino and Egypt made Luxor jump out; getting the words correctly much better than coming up with the clue

I only really feel good about the top 2...not sure how to order the rest.

do you think horseshoes is a sport? i'm unsure about that, but just the connection to horse racing could be enough by itself

if horseshoes is a sport, then washers is a very similar game, but not sure how well known it is

leaning towards beat/agent/horseshoe as my next 3 after cricket/pitch. not sure on order either

film is my least favorite

I would call horseshoes a game, but it probably falls somewhere close to the middle of the wavelength spectrum. Never heard of washers before.

Lots of sports films and it is a genre by itself, so that feels fairly strong to me, but all these words feel ~equally likely so I'm fine leaving it off if you're not feeling it.

?

Or beach ahead of film, I don't really care.

film is the most re-clueable word ever, so yeah i'll move it down
