Cotton as a beret makeup?

Brush as a backup for Beret? A stretch but a head/hair related word

Match as a backup for catwoman? "She's met her match!" Or whatever.

I think vet would be a no no the more I think about it.

Not fussy at all if you want to change the backups without consultation.

I'd probably do vet as the backup for beret since they're worn by military? I can't imagine anything else for catwoman, so I'm good with whatever

Racket, Code, Wake at first glance, but let's not be too hasty

i agree those three hit hardest, but the way he has clued so far, racket may not be ours?

it's really hard to say since he could have just been trying to make sure we don't guess something like match/arm/etc with a baseball clue over a different sports clue

racket would have also been my third choice on catwoman, but i can also see him not wanting to stretch with that definition of racket

table hits decently hard as well, so this is a tough decision

do you have an idea on the scientology word? was thinking racket has equity there

Bar - a bar would have an alarm but that's tenuous and not even the first type of bar I think of.

Fan - i keep thinking this could fit but can't find a connection
Match - would set off a fire alarm
Racket - an alarm.makes a racket but fits well with scientology

Vet - a vet might havd medical alarms but meh
Wake - my favourite one. An alarm wakes you up in the morning

Baseball hits fan, match and arm pretty hard, so they're probably out.

Our conditional backups kinda screwed us over here. We wouldn't know if Vet was ours or not.

Racket - alarms are loud, but our earlier clues makes me dislike it (might be very very hard to clue this if something like match is a bad word though)

don't think we're ever getting off of wake/code, so we can bold those at any time?

i honestly don't know what to do after that. i usually hate trying to figure out ambiguous clues from the other team, but racket would be my best guess for scientology, and nich may have been waiting to get that blocker off the board. catwoman a much easier clue to close out the game if you have the choice
