Connections NYTimes game thread, very official

Googled connections archive to do some old ones for free and the 3rd party website had hard ones but they seem to mostly be based on obscure word knowledge rather than creative overlap.

I got the reverse rainbow thing today for the first time. Kinda ridiculous with today's purple being so laughably easy but I'll take it.

I see this thread seems to be winding down, just when I've really gotten into Connections. Oh, well. I've been playing for about a week, perfect so far, but I don't care about colour order.

Today, I did yellow last because it was so obvious that I didn't trust it.

I play most days now but not much to post about.

I play these most days; if I miss a day, I go to connectionsunlimited.org and can choose any date to play prior ones

also use that site to just play random ones, which you can choose easy/medium/hard; it doesn't tell you when you are 'one off' like NYTimes site does, though

The hard ones on that site usually require more knowledge than I have.

Got the purples first today btw.

I missed one the other day that had poker stuff in it and then a few tough categories. Over thought the poker stuff and then missed on others.

They had another non-alphabet symbols game yesterday. I really should quit in protest; Wtf kind of word game is this without words.

Win streak still active though! These days I mostly shoot for zero misses first, reverse rainbow ideas 2nd.

I normally go for speed unless I struggle then if I see people first try to go backwards
