The Child
To give your body over to the Son of Man and follow him along the narrow path is like a child following their estranged father. Sometimes it is that simple - become the child and follow.
Other times, it is not so simple. There are times when the child cannot see or hear. Still, even the child who cannot see can give its body over to the SoM. This is what it means to believe without seeing.
Instead of becoming a child that sees and follows the man in the light, you become a child who follows a child in darkness and silence. It is one level of faith to become a child and turn your body over to a difficult man who you can see and then follow him. It is another layer of trust to become a child and follow another child in chaotic darkness.
The SoM is a man who leads in the light and a child who leads in the darkness. The SoM is also the child who follows both.

Tell us why you are different than the Jehovah's Witnesses at the door or the Moonies at the airport. Because that's important, yo. Tell us how and why you are different from any of the countless other god experts, god revealers, god messengers that have deluded their legions and themselves down thru the ages. Or have you already proven you have no ability to do that?

Behold, there is a grand mystery. And to reduce it to the beliefs of ignorant barbarians of the 1st Century is an appalling insult to mind, to reflection, to understanding, to honesty, to respect for reality. And to presume that you are a special messenger of god just because, well, just because you ipso facto are, is as old as ALL OF THE RELIGIONS. Yet each installment of this type of identity is the real deal.
A man figures it out. He doesn’t just call everything a great mystery and give himself permission to fail.
He is honest with himself when he is unable to figure it out on his own and that he needs guidance.
Still, in the end, he figures it out.
