CFP or Coaching? Already winning at micros ...

Trying to decide whether to go with a CFP or get coaching.

As I currently see it, coaching seems a lot less expensive compared to any of the CFP options I've seen so far. Assume the following:

1) 500K hand contract
2) Modest WR of 3bb/100 at 200NL plus 3bb/100 RB (assuming 33% RB on Stars US is at least 3bb/100? Anyone have real numbers?)

CFP would cost 30K on a 50/50 split, since 500K hands should equal out to 60K profit.

Do you think there is enough benefit being in a CFP compared to just paying for a coach? There are a few coaches from $100-$150 per hour for 200NL ... so assuming all else is equal $30K would pay for 200-300 hours of coaching.

edit: Looking for responses of people who have gone down one or both of these paths.

Winning at micros might be a little misleading - have won close to 40K at 30NL/50NL after RB since 2022 (vast majority of that in 2022)

almost every CFP is a scam,

CFP is better but you need two things to make it work; 1. Dont rely on the income to make ends meet, 2. Save all of your profit so you can own dime comfortably after the contract is up. Oh, forgot #3 most important, MAKE SURE YOU PICK THE RIGHT CFP.

I don't think any good CFP's will consider a micro player, and the quality of coaches you can get for the hourly you are willing to pay is probably not high enough.

So IMO the best option is to reach at least NL200-500 and then consider your options. I'd rather watch video content from top players than get 1on1 coaching from nl200 players

Can you expand on this - or is it for the reason stated in my OP? I can see how it’s basically a free roll for some CFPs if they don’t have any skin (money) in the game.

What is it that makes you feel a CFP is better than coaching?
