Seeking Online Cash Game Coaching

Hello,

my name is Michael, I’m 22 years old, and I started playing poker last year. While I played more casually at first, I’ve been taking poker very seriously for the past months.

Alongside poker, I am currently studying, but at the moment I have a lot of flexibility and available time. I can invest at least 4-5 hours per day into poker. This usually consists of a mix of playing and studying.

I started playing Microstakes the first months, now I am playing NL100 regular tables as well as NL25 Zoom.

I mainly play on PokerStars and track my hands using PokerTracker 4, which allows me to review hands, statistics, and tendencies in detail.

My approach so far has been to build a solid strategic framework that I can logically justify. I have studied preflop ranges, bet sizing concepts, and general postflop structures. A lot of my thinking is influenced by content that focuses on board textures, range interactions, and some exploitative adjustments depending on opponent types.

In general, I am very interested in developing a strong exploitative approach to the game. I understand that a solid GTO baseline is likely necessary for that, but my main goal would be to learn how to deviate correctly and systematically exploit population tendencies and individual opponents more effectively.

I should also mention that my personal playing style is very deliberate. I like to take my time thinking through spots, ranges, and lines, which means that heavy multitabling is not something I am aiming for. My focus is much more on decision quality rather than volume for volume’s sake.

My long-term goal is to steadily grind my way up the stakes over the next few years, with the clear objective of reaching NL1000.

So far, I have only very little experience with GTO solvers. My initial reasoning was that GTO might be too complex at this stage and that there were still many low-hanging fruits to focus on first. That said, I am very open to learning GTO concepts in a structured way if they serve as a foundation for stronger exploitative play.

One of my main reasons for reaching out is that I feel my studying process is currently inefficient. Most of my learning consists of watching videos, taking notes, and then trying to implement one or two new ideas into my game each day. While this has helped, I strongly feel that my study structure could be optimized significantly.
