I would suggest not trying to stick-check McDavid.
Drai is just a big guy. He moves fine and is super durable. There is no defense that really works vs McDavid.
PLD looks pretty good in this (1st) period. Is he really on the 4th line? That's a nice 4th line. I mean, he has to play to make a difference.
He is a losing player and cannot be trusted to play higher in the lineup.
I heard someone say that when a penalty is split between periods, you're more likely to score at the end of the period than at the start of the next period, even though it seems like clean ice would be better for the power-play. I would guess because the penalty killers are rested?
Generally, you'll get to start the PP in the offensive zone at the end of the period. At the start of the period, the faceoff will be at centre.
