I'd also be shitting myself if some random drunk fans were running towards me

Great season. Next year is the one.

Sure we bottled CL, but when the season began how many Spurs supporters would have taken a Europa League finish considering last year and losing Kane?

BIG ANGE IN 24/25..

I miss 8bus to find a lot to moan about even today after 6 titles in 7 years

Always

No, really, if the transfers are right.

City are on the wane (dependent on the circus freak, the Victorian chimney sweep apprentice and the aging KdB) and Arse are on the up. 89 points wins it a lot of the time. Timber back and two or three additions and we are there.

I dont think City are on the wane necessarily. KdB is going, Silva most likely. But FOADS is world class + Rodi is 2nd player of the season..defense is great.

We need a lot of stars to align. Like Rodri/Foden missing serious time.

Anyways we will be in it I dont doubt. How long we came in the last 3 seasons too. Let's enjoy it a bit despite the outcome.

city arent on the wane, and if they were they'd spend three hundred million pounds to unwane

I don't see how anyone can argue that this City is as dominant as previous incarnations. The points total and GA are enough to see that.

Wonder how much money I could have made by betting city to win the league whenever they lose a game or two in the opening fixtures of the season

Yep, we are almost there. It’s hard to be too disappointed since it feels like we’re set up in such a positive way.

Hoping for Gyokeres/Isak, de Jong, Hato and then fill in depending on exits. Nelson, Zinchenko, Nketieh, ESR and Partey could all be gone.

Me too. Sometimes I try to think about which current player he’d hate with a fiery passion. I think it might actually be Haaland based on past evidence that strikers are absolutely NOT allowed to miss chances. Maybe Grealish?

Sesko for me, understudying Kai. El Neny's also leaving. The others look good and FdJ in particular would be a game changer imo if we're dropping Rice back into the 6 but the guy's on ridiculous wages (700k/week?) and Rice does a pretty good job in LM so another 6 to replace Partey might be more cost effective.

But more is needed, especially a winger.

Also we might see more of Ethan (some cup games)?

Titled I flipped a coin on eze vs olise and olise won for fpl. Would of won the thread league with that. Smh

PM me with midfielder bet payment info pls!

GG, Maddison was crushing until injury, and KDB while injury history known bit annoying for him to crush the 50% of the season he played while Arsenal ran pretty pure.

Guess that's why they call it gambling.

Ya i was banking on kdb/or son not being over their injuries as the potential edge. United being **** certainly helped, and it's pretty funny kdb still almost outscored rashford.

Shipped. Grats Ducky.

Chris Wood the obvious captain choice today

Shipped and received by ducky.

I think I am 2-11 in sports bets made vs others on this forum now

I just want to say that Spurs fans giving up CL football to spoil Arsenal is the weakest **** I have ever seen from a set of football fans. Such a loser mentality.

I dont mind the fans tbh. But the staff??

lol

That's not at all what happened nor does it show the mentality. Cry more.

Despite it being F365 this article makes some points - https://www.football365.com/news/spurs-f...

One thing is giving up on a slim chance like Liverpool and Chelsea have to both lose or something but in this case Aston Villa were absolutely wrecked and Crystal Palacer were flying. There was at least a 30- 35% chance of CL football had Spurs won on Tuesday. And that CL football was absolutely crucial for them in the post Kane era. Incredibly short sighted. I almost feel bad for their manager who gives a ****.

Im not crying, as a Liverpool fan I directly benefit from Aston Villa finishing above your lot. I dont see us Aston Villa being a threat to us in the next 2 or 3 season. A Spurs team boosted by CL qualification is a much risky proposition from us.

But Im geniunely shocked and surprised.

Well 2 things:

1) i dont know many Spurs fans who were actively rooting for us to lose, just many were "eh this isnt the worst thing" when it happened.

2) we have no chance in the CL next year unless we are somehow spending $500M in the summer. We have *some* chance in the EL. I expect we will be top 4-5 favourites for it.

In what way is CL football *exactly* next season "absolutely crucial"? Players care how much you pay them and about little else in 2024 if they're going to not be at a City / Real Madrid type.

Not like suddenly Stuttgart becomes a much bigger draw if they're paying 70% as much or whatever.
