The drop off in quality between our first XI and our bench is staggering.

He's getting paid the same as KDB to commentate one game a week for less than half the year, don't know why he'd even bother doing anything else

Recently divorced Imo

What's the best all-time Premier League XI?

Caveat: must use players from all different teams.

I'm pretty happy with this:

GK van der Sar - Fulham
RB Trippier - Newcastle
CB Terry - Chelsea
CB Ferdinand - Man Utd
LB Baines - Everton
DM Kante - Leicester
CM Gerrard - Liverpool
CM De Bruyne - Man City
RW Bale - Tottenham
ST Shearer - Blackburn
LW Henry - Arsenal

lol I didn't know about the FTX thing or was involved at Birmingham. I'm not particularly familiar with the guy but I would have thought that someone that has spent three decades throwing an egg might not be the right person to be non-exec chairman at a club in a sport where he very likely knows **** all.

If I were him I'd aim for some Kevin Bacon-lookalike gig or something.

Now there are ramblings he will return to throwing eggs for 1-2 more years. Guess these investments + divorce puts you in a tough spot.

Surely you can use the smaller clubs the legends started at (e.g. lampard west ham, rooney everton, etc..) to come up with a list that does not have to include Baines or Trippier

The intention of the excercise is that you get the player as he was with that club.

So if you get Everton Rooney he's not prime Rooney.

I've got to assume that he's thinking you need to use the level of player at the club you select so you can't cheap shot something like ferdinand = leeds

With that logic I'm picking Hazard circa 2018 or which was that robust season after which he basically retired to Real?

Although I am losing John Terry which teammates greet with a sigh of relief.

I don't see how you could take United or Chelsea CBs. They were two of the best CBs ever but the position is nowhere near as valuable as having Hazard or young Ronny

swapping out shearer for ronaldo and putting paul mcgrath (villa) in for rio

i will get killed for this and rightfully so, but i am also swapping out gerrard and henry for viera and suarez

You are going with the full pragmatic Lego Pep approach of solidifying the midfield and grinding out results with SIU. I can respect that.

I really want Bergkamp there, but cannot rid Henry. The guy was just so pure - haven't seen anyone coming close to him still since.

Annoyed how much i'm struggling with this

It's Gudjohnsen.

Got it in the end lol

Co-sign. Especially if we can take their peak season vs career. That Suarez 13/14 season was incredible with a borderline Championship midfield/defense and keeper behind him

is this version of trippier the best option? is it even better than the version we had in tottenham?

You'd have to lose Bale to get that version though.

I can certainly see the Gerrard/Biter swap, but to not have Henry in there just feels wrong on way too many levels.

Ditch both bale and trip for modric if you want to be edgy and contrarian.

yeah i was gonna say, with as many great players as chelsea has had over the last 20 years it seems like an awful waste to take captain leader legend brave lion hear me roar etc terry

I took Henry at LW though. As good as Hazard is I can't pick him over Henry.

Could argue for Lampard over Gerrard, and that frees up Salah at RW.

Surprised no one took Salah.

Worth considering Bale as LB at Tottenham so you can get Ronaldo in the forward line.

18 year old Bale just bought from Southampton was not close to the one who became a winger. Aka, that Bale was not one of the best to play in the Prem while the one he became was

Talking about GOATs - the Egyptian king is likely to leave his club in January.

Elneny is wanted in Turkey by Galatasaray as well as Besiktas.
