i would also enjoy it as a fan of another club, but i'd probably be more concerned with actually accomplishing some silverware before chelsea are back up and running..

I'm more concerned about City group then xChelsea tbh.

Chelsea could be stuck in this loop for a while, will be interesting to see how they manage the long contracts and loads of deadwood. Although if you tell me a few years ago that we will be competing with the likes of plop and city and playing like we do I probably would not have believed you

Chelsea have spent infinity and are in the bottom half of the table. I can understand some of their frustration.

Yeah but things take time, especially when you have that amount of new players, new manager, new set up new everything.

If they don't give Poch at least 2 seasons they're ****ing twats.

Arse fans are screaming Arteta out after the Porto loss and called it a reality check.

If they fire Poch to satisfy fans then that would be a ticket back to square one.

Think with the money spent and players they brought in one can expect a bit better than what they are doing now.

Obv, but they've played a ****load better than the results (just look at xG / xpts!), they're severely lacking a striker. Not easy to fix that though.

a lot of the initial signings were rushed and mistakes. those will be mostly gone this summer once they get sterling out of there.

Where is Sterling going? Cucurella? Of the first year signings the only ones gone are Koulibaly and Aubameyang. I'm not counting the Southampton kid they spent 2 mil on only to send him back permanently after a few weeks

Watkins having an insane year. Won't happen but if he finishes strong and fires villa to CL he's got a pretty good case for player of the year.

It’s really amazing isn’t it. He’s been a really good buy on the whole for Villa, but what he’s doing this year is going to a completely different level. Having a 20g 15a season isn’t out of the question at all (20 goals feels extremely likely).

Chelsea's problem was they hoovered up lots of outstanding young players then decided to try and find a coach who could fit them all into some kind of system.

Might have been a better idea to find the coach first, decide on a system, then buy the players.

It's basically the Man Utd method as opposed to the Plop or City method.

system-based cheat codes dont exist

what they need is footballers who are better than the footballers on the other team

Christ, just been to the bar and had a "wait, is that her in Reynolds' avatar" moment

There are bars in heaven?

Counterpoint- they are in the bottom half.

So are they just absolute ass at finding good footballers? I'm always on the side of yours in terms of players >>>>>>>>>>>>> managerial genius but in this regard it seems like Chelski have just unloaded on whoever and then figure it out later.

Chelsea's the real-life version of a 12-year-old playing Championship Manager for the first time.

Burnley 2024 are so naive and act like they are in the top half, chasing a European spot. But while they play some nice football, their finishing is terrible and they continually get punished with their defensive lapses. Unlike Burnley, Luton Town realize they are crap and that finishing 17th place is the objective.

Backs to the wall now lads

RashGOAT ghana RashGOAT

dunno

however, cucumber aside i wouldnt be surprised if some of their signings in the last cpl years end up as key contributors to a title winning team in the next three or four years

Pep already looks primed for a meltdown

Yeah but who cares? This season wasn't supposed to be anything anyway. Plus they've played way better than that.

what the **** is a 3:30pm start time

city being a goal down to utd and being heavily odds on to still win the game will never feel normal

This flapper Utd have in goal turning in a performance for the ages would be a cracking little nugget.

rashford is so ****ing bad

Well, if you want to try and look at this as some sort of long term project, do they look like they are going places? I’m not sure that they do. And they may be FFPed into selling players, with Gallagher, who the manager seems to like, being suggested.

I strongly suspect, especially if they can add someone who can score a goal occasionally, that they'll be challenging in the top four next season. Not sure how high in the top four but definitely around there.

Assuming they don't chop and change managers

by TheGramuel k

Assuming they don't chop and change managers

why would you possibly think this could matter.

no one has chopped and changed managers more in the last 20 years than chelsea, who happen to also be the most successful english team of the last 20 years
