NCAA Football 2023 Season Megathread
Figured I would get this thing started since a mod still hasn’t changed the title of the 2022 thread. Let’s just start o
Was this the first year since 97 michigan was number one or did they have a few weeks somewhere in between? I'd guess maybe that one year they lost to tosu in double ot?

I don't think they were ever #1 under Harbaugh until this year.
In 2016 when Michigan started 9-0, Bama was also 13-0 so they were always #1 I believe.
2021 and 2022 Georgia was always above Michigan.
Sigh. Again I'll take it cuz I'm desperate but don't really want it. Tualia is like that 5 you have sex with but don't tell anybody about it. Better than nothing but barely. Dude is a turnover machine.
Multiple guys dipping out on head coaching gigs to go be assistants at Bama.
That woud be a really interesting move -- he had just been hired as co-DC at Michigan before he took the Buffalo job. Might be feeling the heat after a 3-9 season?

he folded on the turn after an hc-bet
probably reasons we should all do that more in our card games
They effectively made the playoffs and got bounced in the first round by a team with a high school offense. Calling them losers is perfectly acceptable.
And so when Michigan lost 5 straight bowl games recently what were they? And when they lost 5 of 6 before that, and 8 of 9 before that ... what were they? It looks like Georgia is 11-3 in bowl games last decade with 2 of the 3 losses to Bama. Whereas Michigan was just losing to whoever you put in front of them until this year, as advertised. Funny they beat the same "high school" offense in OT.
Just a shame we'll never know what would have happened had Michigan squared off with 46-2 and 11-3 in bowls (4 of the 5 losses to Bama) "loser boy" Georgia.

Saw one of those way too early predictions for the B1G next year
Washington picked 11th, gave me a laugh
Conference is stacked and they will regress but probably not that far
My favorite part of this tweet is that MISSISSIPPI STATE has been ranked #1 more recently than USC, Florida, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Oregon, Texas, Tennessee and Penn State.
2nd favorite? NORTHWESTERN was #1 at one time.
That Mississippi State season was TEN YEARS AGO?
I remember we were headed to a 1 vs 2 egg bowl, but then they both lost a bunch of games right at the end of the season
hits right in the olds

lol Chinhole Chilly to Ohio State as offensive coordinator.
2023 season is old news. Someone start a new one.
Nah, we can live in this one a while longer.
Somehow missed this:
And I think it’s awesome.
Dude decided playing NCAA Football on Nightmare Mode for 3 years wasn't enough of a challenge so he decided to step up to Hell Mode for his final playthrough
pavia 1 - 0 sec
This seems like a big deal
shoring up that run support
PFF named him as a first team all American even as a true freshman. OSU gets him for two years before he's eligible for the draft. Home run get for the Buckeyes.
I like the characterization that Saban was the glue that kept the Tide program together and rolling. Not just the coach/recruiter/motivator ... but the glue. The uber energized program wants to come flying apart like an atomic bomb unless there is that outer layer imploding it in. Deboer not gonna work, imo. I wouldn't bet as much on that as I would for a lot of other hires, but it's still odd's on to fly apart.

'Come apart' could be like a 10 win season.
