**** 2023 Season-Long NFL PEEHS! ****

Hello again, football fans!

After TEN outstanding years as the GOAT PEEHS Drehpehs, the founder of our beloved game KrazyKris has decided to call it a career. This game has been so much fun, and brought this community together over the years, that I felt it’d be a shame if it ended here. With Kris’ blessing, I’m taking up the mantle and hosting the game so it continues!

As will quickly become apparent, I’m not Kris. I promise I’m not as creative or funny or thorough with my reveals, and you can FORGET about the yearly stats breakdown! I’ll do my best to get the reveals up in a timely manner, but I work, and it’s a long season through the holidays. On that note, I won’t be available for Thanksgiving, so Rawlz517 has graciously volunteered to step in for a guest reveal. If I need more help with reveals, we’ll play it by ear.

I’ve never played PEEHS before, what is it?

PEEHS is basically a fun, free NFL football futures contest. You make an entry by giving answers to the 25 questions before the season starts, and I reveal the answers once a week as the season goes along. For every question, your answer will either be CORRECT, or INCORRECT.

If your answer is CORRECT, your score for that question will simply be the number of people who selected your same correct answer. If you’re the only person to select your correct answer, that’s an ACE! …and your score for that question is 1.

If your answer is INCORRECT, then your score for that question is the number of people who picked the SHEEP answer (most popular answer), plus the number of different correct answers submitted for that question. The SHEEP (most popular answer) can be either correct or incorrect; all that matters is the number of people who selected the SHEEP.

It’s more important to be CORRECT in all your answers, but also be among the fewest participants that select your correct answers.

Scores add up per question over the season. Lowest score wins.

How do I enter?

Anyone can enter by sending me a single-spaced, non-numbered PM with your answers. Please correctly spell first and last names for player names, and just use mascots for team names.

Since we get questions on this every year...

Not spaced (don’t do this):

Falcons Chiefs Saints Nick Chubb…

Single-spaced (DO THIS ONE):

Falcons
Chiefs
Saints
Nick Chubb…

Double-spaced (don’t do this):

Falcons

Chiefs

Saints

Nick Chubb…

Crazy that KC, in that division, made me sweat all the way to yesterday to lock in a playoff spot. Now I need them to lay down and let the 1.Chargers win next week.

Pollard needs 140 yds next week, lol. At least they're still playing for something and not resting.

Texans looking good on the pt differential...until yesterday's 26-3 victory. **** me. Will the Colts beat them by 21 next week? No. No they won't.

I have every question except 23 correct so far. I need the chargers to beat KC.

Also, i have the Colts for negative point differential, and they are currently -15. I don't see them beating Houston by 15+, so I dhould be good there as well.

At least I started with an ace

Who's here? It's time for the Question 17 Reveal!!

17. Name a team with a playoff spot clinched by the end of Week 17.

For this question, we have 24 correct answers, and 22 incorrect answers.

We'll start with the incorrects first.

Our most popular incorrect answer, though not the SHEEP, is the New Orleans Saints. Five players selected the Saints, who are in with a win over my terrible Falcons, and a Tampa Bay loss vs. the Panthers.

Our next incorrects are a trio of would-be 3 point answers. The Buffalo Bills need a win and some help to get in, and while they're not in yet, they may finally be playing their best football of the season.

Also played by 3 contestants, the Jacksonville Jaguars hold the most tiebreakers in their 3-way tie atop the AFC South. We'll find out how that division shakes out this week! But for now, the Jags haven't clinched.

Our final would-be 3-point answer is the Seattle Seahawks. According to the standings I'm looking at, they still have live playoff scenarios for the wild card. For now, though, they're not in.

We have a pair of answers selected by 2 entrants. The Cincinnati Bengals got off to a slow start, then things went sideways when Joe Burrow was lost for the year. They head into the final week of the season at .500, at 8-8, but that's good for last in the AFC North, and they are officially eliminated from playoff contention.

Our other would-be 2 pointer is the Green Bay Packers. Jordan Love's been up and down, but lately the arrow seems to be pointing up. They head into the final week at 8-8, with some live playoff scenarios.

The remaining incorrects are would-be ace hunters. The Houston Texans are in the middle of the 3-way tie atop the AFC South, and they have a de facto elimination game coming up this weekend, as they head to Indy.

The Los Angeles Chargers... didn't have the season they'd hoped for. To put it mildly.

REDeYeS00

The Minnesota Vikings could be in with a win this week, and some help.

Great news everybody! The front office and Saleh the coach are coming back to the New York Jets next season! Because when you look at how this season went, I'm sure every Jets fan said, "yep, sign me up for THAT again!"

There are two unplayed correct answers for this question:

Cleveland Browns
Los Angeles Rams

This question's SHEEP answer was played by 7 players. The Kansas City Chiefs are locked into the 3 seed, and have announced they're sitting Mahomes this week.

Our next most popular answer was played by 6 contestants. The Detroit Lions have broken the curse, and won their division for the first time in over 30 years! Ford Field will be rockin' for its first playoff game in who knows how long.

Our next corrects are a pair of 4-point answers. The Philadelphia Eagles are very much NOT "peaking at the right time," but I still think they have a pretty good team. They've clinched a playoff berth, and still have outs to the division crown if the Cowboys stumble.

Also played by 4 players, our next correct is the San Francisco 49ers. They've looked at times like the best team in football, and have wrapped up the division and the #1 seed.

Our next correct is a 2-point answer. Will the Dallas Cowboys flame out in the playoffs against a good team again? Stay tuned to find out. We know they don't get to face the Giants and their scoreless first 6 quarters of the season in the playoffs. Let's see if they can hold on to the division crown this weekend!

Question 17 closes with one lone ace. The Baltimore Ravens have locked up the #1 seed in the AFC, and they have a meaningless yet still meaningful game with the Browns this weekend.

Rawlz517

With a SHEEP score of 7, plus 6 different correct answers submitted, incorrects will receive a score of 13 for this question.
