Do you think he's gone? The guy is impossible to like, even incites peace minded people to want to kill him, and he's only bearable in my opinion, when he's making deep runs in March habitually. It's the opposite of that now, maybe the worst run ever for UK in the SEC and NCAA tourneys?? Since his contract thing in 2019 it's been total tank, and there is an option for him to walk and continue getting paid after the 2024 season. Meaning now.

I just don't see how it can work for another season. Fanbase is just done. Would be nice if he just quietly retired

Haven't seen it. What is he saying?? Gonna cue it up.

Basically that they didn’t play to the same level they played this season. Could have done more. They’re young. Blah blah blah.

I thought the down side of the great 1-and-done success was going to be some kind of scandal, unparalleled scandal, like maybe gang members infiltrating the UK program or something way over the top. Turns out it's as simple as losing. It was just incredible the runs they had with one year players, but seems long, long gone and the NIL thing I guess will further balance things. They sure had NBA talent all over the place on this team, will be interesting to see the future NBAers comparison between UK and Oakland's roster, but it so strangely was the opposite of his early teams at UK. The game is fickle, but five years worth isn't really fickleness.

UK is a FF or bust kind of school. One of the few. Considering Cal hasn't made the FF since 2015, I think he has to go. His championship was a long 13 seasons ago. If he was the coach of UNC with the same results, I'd probably be out at this point. Even his last elite eight was 2019, and that's not looking likely this season. Granted, he had a good squad during the COVID year cancellation.

For Cal's run at Memphis to UK throughout the period of 2005 to 2015, his specialty was landing the

I stand by this post.

ku #13 is killing me, spazing out everywhere. I dunno anything about KU, just take him out pls. thx

No idea why Harris isn’t playing the whole game

Yeah even the host of the post game call in show is saying a change needs to be made

Not good when the biggest homers turn on you

He knows nothing about modern basketball. Still playing a 2007 style ten years after the 3PT revolution. And he's way too dumb and stubborn to figure any of the analytics stuff out, whereas his peers (Nate Oats for example) understand all of these concepts very well.

wtf was that reed sheppard game

wtf was that reed sheppard game

Yeah really. I wasn't going to say it for fear of it being taken wrong, but it looked almost as if he was tanking. LOOKED like it. Horrible passes, no confidence, disappearing, shooting a very weird not even his style of shooting shot in the last minute when unguarded. He was just so out of his element ... the worst game of his life, and will be when his career is over. But it happens. And it happens more when one is ballyhooed all year and becomes a media darling. That shyt is toxic. But, everybody has their worst game at some point.

he didn't want last shot at all

I looked hard at taking UK money line for this game, several times I looked at it. I forget about 6 or 7/1. I resisted but my thinking was even knowing these teams are dangerous, that the UK recent history just can't do that again. Shew. I laid off of it. And I was looking for dangerous dogs with big payoffs, but thinking UK can't blow again, can they? Yup. I ended up taking Mcneese. Not quite.

Of the 351 teams ranked, UK was #1 this year in 3-pt. shooting %. With a good amount of attempts, about average. So it isn't like he's trying to get it under to Towns with Wall bricking 3s, so to speak. Just a very weird team. Lacking his usual D prowess, and maybe kind of like the Woyaz in tremendously wide-ranging performance. Like "We're trying to obliterate you with threes and with O, and if that doesn't work, you might obliterate us." That might be it.

Forgot all about barstool and march madness, haven't seen thier stuff since mid nfl season. Turned on youtube stream.. they are as clueless as me about who is who and wild ups and downs. My kind of gamblers. They are all over Drake of all teams, living and dying on every shot. Funny.

Of the six UK coaches since Rupp's enormous career, Calipari's is the longest with only Joe Hall being close. These mercenary coaches who jump around forever on the lookout for opportunities, fame, glory, money, etc. ... seem to have a shelf life. They even know it. When they aren't part and parcel of a program but are just skipping around into monster programs, 15 years is a long time. Nine or ten is the standard, said Pitino and Holtz.

Does not compute. If you're first in 3PT% and not even in the top 75 of 3PA then ur doing it wrong, and only 60% of their attempts are coming from the three sharpshooters. The other 40% combined shooting under 33% and it's considerably worse if you remove Edwards who was decent at 37%.

Look at tonight's 3PA box score:

Tre Mitchell (31%) 0-2
DJ Wagner (32%) 0-4
Edwards (37%) 1-4

That's 1-10 (10%) from people who mostly should not be shooting threes. The good shooters were 8-18 (44%). Another huge aspect you're missing is his reluctance to play the Death Lineup. Reeves + Sheppard + Dillingham + {pick 2} had an insane PPP which makes sense given that it's impossible to guard three elite shooters. Eating the first 4 minutes of every half without your best players on the court is certainly a choice.

grunching hard

LOL CALIPARI YOU FRAUD YOU'RE THE EQUIVALENT OF A USED CARS SALESMAN
