Lettuce NBA!
and lettuce lol @ James Harden
Going to be an unpopular opinion but I've started by hating Gobert but now I'm in his camp for all the slander he's getting
Not sure what he's done to fans/media to be so singled out like that. he's a great rim protector who like anyone his size can't keep up 1-on-1 with guards
Yeah, it looks bad because he won DPOY and is on a huge contract but it's other people who made that choice based on his skills
Media holding a grudge clearly
I’ve always hated Gobad so I’m definitely not stopping now
Wemby would’ve blocked Luka’s shot or at the very least forced a miss.
He’s the real DPOY. Not Fraudbert.
He lost a possession against one of the best offensive players ever.
Towns needing more hate than Gobert. This was another KAT classic playoff dud
Wolves need to trade Towns for a point guard. Conley isn’t getting any younger.
Towns / Trae / 3rd team in a 3 way deal if Hawks don’t want Towns. imho

and isn't he also at the top of most hated in these player polls and stuff? i asked before why everyone hates him and ppl just lol'd like it was obvious so idk
fwiw my buddy met him outside some fiba thing (worlds?) in germany and said he was nice, posed for a pic and everything

is his technique correct though? he also does that crossover stepping instead of shuffling his feet, and then gets puts in the spin cycle looking like bambi on ice when the guy crosses over. it looks really bad anyway. also giving up the 3 instead of not, forcing him into the paint and chasing from behind with size/reach.
(though yeah it'd prob just collapse the d and leave an open 3, but ... they don't have to do that, you can make luka take a tough shot for the tie)
genuinely asking, not really up on my coaching/strat stuff

again: giant
You can't have size and the ability to move ftmp. That's why the freaks are freaks. Gobert is still amazing in a relative sense and exemplifies why Wemby is beyond singular.
Being French obv doesn't help.
His rep would be more as a badass intimidator if he was from Detroit, Memphis, or Nigeria.
(Setting aside the whole wiping Covid on the mics thing.)
Gobert is goonish, he nails dudes (perhaps unintentionally due to awkwardness) and it hurts more bc he's a literal giant

true, true
the covid thing is dumb, but was just fuel on the fire for how ppl already felt about him
People hate Gobert because even though you can't exactly pinpoint the what or why, he just seems to have a very sissy aura about him. Weak men create hard times yada yada yada.
Haliburton out tonight as expected after re-injuring the hamstring injury he's been dealing with since Jan.
Who's the best healthy player the Celtics will have faced until Luka/ANT? Bam?
has been noticeably worse at home this postseason for whatever reason. but he only played 26 minutes. made no sense to me that he sat for last 9 minutes of the game. keep naz out there, sure, but you can swap kat for rudy (whose rim protection abilities were totally neutralized by luka P&Rs) and be more effective on both ends of the floor. he's at least more capable of switching to luka on the perimeter.
dallas would score at will if gobert wasnt out there
its just an easy thing to visualize putting someone on the court thats way better on offense than gobert when things are going bad for the wolves since pretty much all of their losses are offensive losses
I kinda hate that JB and Hart are so easy to root for. I miss the Starks/Ewing Knicks. Those were teams that can **** right off.
This series is just stupid.
Case in point, JB being a likeable guy just isn't nearly as fun. Hart is kinda fun as an enemy tho (and he's 100% right on Long's Bakery)
Got me thinking, exactly how similar is the East going to look next year?
BOS-Literally every player that matters is under contract for next year
NYK-Going to re-sign OG, Hartenstein is the biggest question mark
MIL-Beasley and Crowder are UFAs, but everyone else is back
IND-Going to re-sign Pascal, entire lineup is back assuming the keep Obi in RFA
Philly is the only team that's really up in the air, but they've got so much cap space, they're likely to add someone like PG13. East could be fun if everyone doesn't die
Ben Sheppard's only contribution to the pacers is his moustache
Wemby? More like Nemby amirite?
TJ getting the home cooking tonight from the refs
TEEJ
I don't know if this is true or not, but I've heard rumors that the US shows videos of the Pacers defensive rotations to prisoners in Guantanamo Bay
