Lettuce NBA!
and lettuce lol @ James Harden
Luka is a great offensive player, but he was a pretty significant defensive liability tonight.
I thought OKC could make him look the way the Celts have, 5 out spacing with 2 legit guys testing his lateral movement
He's definitely gotten exposed defensively in this series to the point you wonder about his ability to play D at the highest levels going forward in certain matchups.
Brown -330 to win fmvp and feels like he should be higher
tatum was -195 live and brown just wrecked him after halftime
Yeah, I am sweating balls on my 5k on Tatum for FMVP ; I already lost 2.5k on the same bet in the Conference finals, so this has been frustrating... Disclaimer :
edit : that being said, the line seems to be a case of recency bias, as Brown and Tatum were even going into the game and sure the former might of had a slightly better game, but barely... I feel that it will come down to the last game and... recency bias.
They're even going into the game somewhat because Tatum is better than Brown and thus expected to play better going forward. Also the Mavs were 55% to win, so the series isn't expected to be trending towards over. Tatum keeps his edge in boards/assists while the shooting %'s normalize a bit and he wins.......but that didn't happen. Not even close.
Tatum is shooting like 37% in the finals and Brown is shooting 55%, just tough to overcome that. Not to mention Brown is guarding Luka and playing a far better 2nd half when the Celts broke the game open.
it is gonna be tough to win with that type of drastic difference in shooting.
barring dropping like 50, i dont think tatum can win if it ends in 4...he needs it to go 5 with 2 clearly superior games.
on the bright side for tatum, he'll be signing a deal worth 1/3rd of a billion in 3 weeks so losing out on finals MVP may not be as frustrating for him as his backers
Yeah, I concede. I still feel that the narrative favors Tatum though after Brown got the CMVP in basically a coin flip and just having a better fourth quarter in the last game, so this might help Tatum. A little. I think Tatum definitely needs a better last game than Brown, but I feel having a slightly better last game would do the trick... At least I hope... 😊
Shawn Bradley ain't walkin' through that door
Mark Aguirre isn’t walking through that door
They got to the damn finals by benching Hardaway. -16 in 19:26
The worst thing about this run for Dallas is that it marries them to Kidd for longer
Final narrative is in: "Luka can't win a championship unless he improves his defense."

Luka probably wants to bank Windhorst more than he wanted to Hbob now
I don't think Luka is lazy, but I do think he would benefit from a lower playing weight. But given his body type, I suspect that it would be tough for him to come back 15-20 pounds lighter unless he went on some sort of Lebron-style nutrition regimen.
He's on a James-style nutrition regimen already, problem is it's James Harden.
Jerome James after he got paid by the knicks

Start with 5-10lbs lighter for a season, then maybe lose another 5lbs the following season.
Yo Windy
Luka is going to remember that
Luka should challenge Windy to an eating contest.
That’ll show him!
was expecting that windy cut a wrestling promo on luka or something the way everyone was talking about it, but that was rather tepid. but yeah luka will still prob never forget because he's a fat petty bitch
was funny luka, talking about fouling out, saying the refs should allow more physicality because it's the playoffs/final, and, my guy, you literally foul down and cry for a foul after every shot. even when there's no one around
Just heard someone drop “Fupa Doncic”

yeah it isn't exactly "hit em up" circa 1996 but it is more just windy isnt really known for that at all
if it was SAS saying it, then it wouldnt even register at all since he goes at these guys all the time
players prolly really enjoy it and laugh their asses off when SAS goes at them.
Just saw this on a Deadspin Mock Draft:
12. OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER: ZACH EDEY, C, PURDUE
Oklahoma City won’t need Edey to put up the gaudy scoring numbers that he did in college, but boy oh boy do they need someone to crash the glass.
I really like this for them and I’m very high on Edey.
as a bit, the refs should just refuse to give luka any calls today. no matter what happens: 0 free throws
would lol
Tim Donaghy did not act alone.
