Knicks will be fine. They've still got 2 more to seal it, plus they're clearly the better team. They also won't sweat Rd. 2 since they're better than either the Pacers or Bucks regardless of whether or not Giannis/Dame come back

Lakers need to reverse engineer all the bad decisions and who was involved over the last few years. I was always suspect that once Kobe died, Pelinka didn't have the sounding board he needed to find the correct pieces that would fit together. He actually did play a great 4th quarter defensively. Think he forced 3 turnovers on Embiid, shut him down, kept him off the line.

Lebron is getting a great deal on an expansion team in Vegas for the 2026-27 season. It will line up with his retirement.
Little chance he leaves LA but his title equity would significantly increase with Maxey, Embiid, and Morey.
His title equity would increase in Philly but only for the fact that its infinitely easier to win a title coming out of the East where you only need to win 2 coin flips as opposed to coming out of the West where you essentially need to win 3-4 coin flips, not because of Embiid. AD has been the second best playoff performer this postseason and has been a top 3-4 playoff performer essentially every single season that he's been healthy whereas Embaad has never had a single postseason where he's been a top 3 playoff performer.

I would take Embiid over AD and that's not even mentioning Maxey or the $20 million in additional cap space they'd have after Lebron. Morey has a ton of flexibility this summer. If he gets Lebron or Paul George he will build a top 3 title equity team this summer.
Lebron should just be like "**** it I'm going for 6" and sign with Philly.
Embid/Maxey/Lebron would be a great trio. He fits with them too (though he obviously would fit on almost every team).
