I called that fake punt before it happened. Chiefs have given up several fake punts this season and stopped none. And the idea is that even if you miss and the Chiefs score, it's a quicker score that doesn't grind down the clock and tire out your defense even more. Maybe you hold them to FG. Chiefs red zone offense has struggled. I think it was worth the risk.

And Mecole Hardman might make one of the most boneheaded plays of all time, which would still be talked about 25 years from now if the Ch

I know some people say that is called on the field sometimes but that seemed absurd to me that you could have the authority to call that on the field in the biggest play of the year.

Turns out that was correct as McDermott said it was his call.

It also seemed really signalled. Hamlin moved about 3 times and it looked really suspicious. It wasn’t a surprise at all to me on the TV

Is more excusable if it was an audible but it’s really bad execution if it was a pre planned and called play


I haven't seen a replay, but in real time, the ref that was behind the kicker kept doing something, like 3 times, that I hadn't really ever noticed before. Made me think something weird was going on before the snap too.
