2024 F1 Season.
Seeing as no one has started a new thread yet I thought I would.
Will Max win everything again?
Has Lewis made the right decision to switch?
When will Horner get sacked?
Is 24 races far too many?
Predictions for the season?
Mine is Perez will get replaced mid way through the season and Lando will actually finally win a race
Sainz to Williams for at least 2 years. Things just going to bad to worse for poor Carlos
Good work from James Vowles
I don't get why RB didn't go for Carlos. Checo is going to lose them the constructors title
Seems weird to me that cars are weighed with their tyres on
Why would that need to be a variable to be controlled by end of season race?
Teams are allowed to argue mitigating circumstances (most often damage). If they felt it was reasonable that they lost 1.5kg in rubber, they could've made that claim.
Checo keeps his seat at RB for the second half. Lol, must be great being the tallest dwarf
Sainz to Williams in 2025

I guess it is because they want to do random spot checks during free practice which requires the wheels to be on. They also don't want to waste time after the race in park ferme and have all the wheels taken off there. They are already on a tight schedule.
has anyone read anything about the decline in RB's race pace the past 4/5 races? Do we just think that all of a sudden, Merc and the others caught up or that RB have declined?

From a football forum:
Some F1 youtube channels (I won't post them, they're easy enough to find) are saying Red Bull's drop off is because the FIA ruled some aspects of their car were illegal and ordered them to rectify it immediately. Of course they don't say what aspects, but one channel says it started when RB complained to the FIA about McLaren's brake ducts. The FIA said they were OK and "Oh, while you're here..."

Supposedly there were a lot of headaches behind the scenes when they were teammates previously, throwing another grenade into team politics prob not what they want right now.
No evidence FIA banned anything RedBull was doing. RedBull did not suddenly get slower either which is what normally happens if FIA bans something. McLaren and Mercedes just caught up while the floor upgrade RedBull brought made the car unstable and not much faster. Going to be interesting to see what FIA will do about the flexing front wings as that seems to be part of what Mercedes and McLaren did to not only catch up but get ahead.
you guys are assuming, as is true with most ENTERTAINMENT based sporting events, that there is not planning and control over results to complicate and dramatize the Sport thus making it more tribal and exciting.
this is EASY to accomplish, specially in racing, because the teams DO NOT control the most important component of the discipline... and that is the contact with the tarmac, the Tires.
Tires are under control of an external organization and the FIA.
:p
approximately 13 of the last 15 seasons have been boring as ****
I think the entire FIA 'Formula' has gotten out of wack...
Zandvoort is a spectacular circuit that hosts boring races
Max should really be worrying for the wdc
The constructors title we all know is gonna be McLaren
WDC basically means Lando needs to equal Vettel 9 wins in a row. It is of course possible but still unlikely. Would be a great end to the season.
the only reason Zandvoort is on the calendar is because of Max... it is very obsolete and should be removed. it's a good track for 125/250 superkarts or small bodied formula's, but not F1.
imho
I'm not so sure Lando can catch Max. For the remainder of the races, Lando has to average 8 points better per race. It's possible; just everything has to go right.
0 chance
Logan Sargeant out
it's about time... Off to Champ car or Cup
Sargeant was in such a deep hole, it was about time
Had to Google Colapinto. He will have exactly 9 F1 races, before Sainz takes over. Nice opportunity for him
