2024 NFL Draft Thread
If this feels like déjà vu, that's because it is. For the second season in a row, the Panthers have the #1 overall pick. It's not often that SE members have the opportunity to start consecutive NFL draft threads as the honorary member whose team has the #1 overall pick.
Oh, ****. You mean we earned the #1 overall pick and don't actually have it?
What? You're saying we traded the #1 overall pick this year for the #1 overall pick last year plus gave up DJM, 1.09, 2.31 and a 2nd round pick next season? Well, surely that means we must have picked someone really good last year.
What's that? Between the last two draft classes, it's possible our guy is the 7th best QB taken in the first round? No ****ing way.
Well, at least we hired some new coaches again. I'm sure it'll work out better this time.
Time for the 10 burning questions of the first round.
1. Will the Bears find a way to fumble the bag, anyways? What will Caleb Williams be wearing and will his nail polish match his outfit?
2. Will NE select a QB, trade back, or take a generational WR with no one to throw the ball to him?
3. Will No.1 Chargers avoid taking a WR hoping that Justin Herbert can both throw and catch the ball?
4. Is Sean Payton actively tanking the Broncos organization even further or will he reach for a QB?
5. Will the Bills take another top 100 pass catcher in the first round or will they expect perennial MVP candidate Jawsh to do it all like Kermit?
6. Will Miami draft the fastest guy in combine history?
7. Will the Panthers wait until 33 to **** it up again or will they try to make another bad trade up?
8. Will the Jets do anything to protect their 40 year old conspiracy theorist politician?
9. Will the Cowboys do anything to improve their team or has Jerry simply stopped caring at this point?
10. What will the 49ers do now that they've finally paid off the Trey Lance trade?
Tune in Thursday at 8 pm eastern to find out.
it was in the script
who are you hoping for at #39 heels?
Rick go easy friend with the trolling...ATL has suffered enough. That Superbowl experience did lifelong damage to the soul.
Dejean has been linked. I’d take Kool-aid too. Hopefully one makes it.
We did pickup the 5yo on Horn, but the guy can’t stay on the field. Even so, we are still very thin.
Based on what’s available, and the fact we picked a bad receiver when good receivers are still on the board, no telling. But I’m guessing it’ll likely be defense. We also need LB.
I wish this TE class was better. We desperately need one.

Brugler has CAR taking Kool-Aid in his updated Day 2 mock
and i feel you're really onto something w that Legette pick. why even move up for Brugler's 76th ranked (WR14) player? another example of awful FO process on Day 1
I'm tempted to call the collective Falcons draft room the new Al Davis, but even Al Davis wouldn't have drafted the guy in that pic in the first round.
It's actually Andy Reid who seems to be possessed by the spirit of Al.
"Hey, let's trade up to get the fastest black guy!!"
"But coach he doesn't have very good hands..."
"I said, FASTEST BLACK GUY!"

Andy also seems compelled by some force of nature to need a player with a flawed character on the team. [Freud would have a field day!]
Despite all that, if you land a generational talent at qb, you can make a bunch of mistakes along the way and still have huge success.

And it sounds like Canales wants him to be mostly gadget-like. Just seems like a bad use of capital for his type of profile.
We’ll see.
lol bills
okay okay
Failcons gonna.....
plz take another QB lol
If you trade for player and he only plays for 5 mins, then is done for season. You should not have to give up your second round pick. Criminal. We need an investigation.
Adonai Mitchell's character concerns costing him 100s of thousands of dollars
i guess TEN might take him here
lol TEN
who is employed in these NFL FOs?
