WNBA 2024
angel reese is giving Caitlin Clark a run for rookie of the year
Robbed of Carter v. Clark
I know the play you're talking about and I saw same thing last game I watched. It's like the closer they get to the basket the less likely the ball goes in the net. I will also say that 90% of the time they try a shot near the basket they get fouled and it's called about 20% of the time.
All the people during the olympics who were saying they should put a normal person in each event just so we can appreciate how good the olympians are
Like, the WNBA is basically that. The top players are so incredibly good, and then the bottom tier of the league is just like, regular people
the skill differential from top to bottom is like 10x that of the NBA even though they have half as many players
No one else on Chicago can stay in front of her
lol they're still headhunting her, just body checking her to the ground, not even trying to hide it
obviously she responds with 31 12 and 4 on 14 shots
remember when people were trying to pretend she wasn't ROY?
Generational stat-padding by Reese to lock up the double double and set the rookie record. Absolutely embarrassing to have her in the game down 25 with no starters and pushing for points. The Sky have for a lot of the season focused on getting her DDs regardless of how ugly it is but this was a new low. Mabery got lucky as **** to get out of town.
Clark is 1st team All-Wnba, she's probably already ahead of Sabrina. She's going to win 2+ MVPs, after she gets an offseason conditioning program.
Next year we are going to see stupid **** like a 30/20 game and probably a handful of 40/10 type ones too.
RIP the Lynx dream for 1st seed, and they are much more likely to be 3rd after today's stinker and a matchup vs Indy. No one will want them in the first round, even if the Lynx do matchup up well vs them.

Do you even want the 1 seed though and probably have to face Vegas in the second round?
In their current form they are easier to beat than NY and Conn, also MN just played them twice and won pretty convincingly both times. On some level you actively want to avoid A'ja but the rest of the team has been rough.
I would sign up for LV-NY with home court over Conn-NY and have a tough 1st round vs Indy.
I had a vivid dream I was playing basketball with CC. I wasn't in drag though so it wasn't like the movie Juwanna Mann.
box score?
Our team. 87-58
its crazy that I could see a path to CC being MVP. just a handful of games ago it seemed impossible that anyone but aja Wilson would be MVP.
but if CC could lead the fever to a championship after a 1-8 start(or whatever it was), I mean... that is MVP kind of stuff
Wilson is the MVP, but what CC is doing as a rookie with basically no time to acclimate until mid-season is unreal
The way CC handles a big offensive load is really admirable.

It’s a regular season award so she won’t have the chance.
And if Clark receives even a single vote there will surely be an outcry.
Fever beat DAL and are over .500 for the first time since 2016. RIP "the field" MVP bets
They have 6/7 games remaining at home. They probably get to 22-18, which is mindblowing given the start of the year.
How much of a postseason threat they are depends on how the 2 Aces and Lynx game go, but I wouldn't want to play them.
Objectively A'ja is the best player and Clark will need an offseason conditioning regiment to get her shooting up where it needs to be, but going forward she's going to be averaging 24/11 type seasons.
If Indy sweeps the 2 games vs the Aces, and finishes say 6-1, the narrative will be there for her to get MVP votes. She'll probably finish 3rd after A'ja and Phee.
She's locked in first-team All-Wnba and the RoY.
Mitchell figured out how to play with her as well, and has been on an absolute tear, They really need to resign her, and then get a 4 that can shoot 3s and play defense.
angel Reese just broke the record for all time rebounds in a season... after game 33 of 40.
it's insane that she's clearly second for ROY.... I mean that CC is that good.
Mattel should really come out with "Rebounds Barbie" with a doll featuring her.
Why not just do a Clark Reese boxing match (headgear) for charity at this point?
angel Reese just broke the record for all time rebounds in a season... after game 33 of 40.
The old record was set in 34 games. Still impressive, but playing on a meh team and her own inefficiency have made it possible. Don't have a great theory why it hasn't been bettered since 2016/2017 with more games
i mean, i've never watched wnba before this year so obviously an expert
but from what i've seen, there aren't many teams that tend to prioritize having someone on the court with a rodman type role of just focusing on rebounding so i imagine that's a big chunk of it
not trying to take away anything from angel, what she's doing is incredible, especially since there are two other 6-3 girls on the roster in addition to her as well as her fellow rookie who is an astounding 6-7
and do legit feel bad for her in that any other year she's the runaway ROY and likewise, i feel like CC would be the favorite for MVP given how she's single handedly turned the worst team in the nba into a contender but Aja is arguably having the best season in WNBA history and by a healthy margin
will be interesting though, if the heat stay strong and CC finishes with some more eye popping numbers it could become more of a coin flip where people choose between best player and most valuable
Duel is offering 75:1 on your little Clark MVP fantasy. Go. Make hay
Clark obliterating the turnover record
Thomas had 137 last year. Clark already has 181
