Is someone keeping track of % of times a ref who did not make a call gets advised to look at VAR and then decides "nah i'm good with my original decision"? Is it <1%

Iyam they shouldnt even waste time to watch but just go along with the correction (and thankfully most of them are this tourney, the only thing the english refa have got right)

good half

I can only remember it happening once (In a champions league quarter final) in 6 years of watching games with VAR involved.

The sad thing is that you have a bunch of adults in a VAR room who can't make a decision so they call the ref and the ref feels the pressure to overturn based on precedent

So basically you have a bunch of penalties being given because both the people hiding behind VAR and the refs are insecure

I also don't understand : the people behind VAR are supposedly referees to start with right? So why would they not be empowered to make a decision and can only "advise" the ref who already made the decision to do it again?

I think I've seen a few instances with stubborn dutch narcissists (nijhuis?), but iirc they'd get called in over more doubtful stuff in early eredivisie var days and they would always have to make the final decision themselves

good half

I for one am shocked at this

It took longer than most, but man I am certainly now seeing the Mainoo hype. He’s going to save United’s ass like Saka with us.

Foden drifting onto the right has made all the difference.

Shaw on. Excellent

Nice dive Stones

Dutch Crouch freed

Weghorst has arrived to make the English tremble

Him scoring the winner would be the funniest ever

Harry Maguire will appreciate the velocity at which we move the ball in defense

Omfg

Second half has been dreadful

That was not a yellow card

This is the England we know and love

ugh new thread is annoying.

Never mind the bollocks, here's Ollie Watkins

Lol Kyle walker bulging at the right time

ugh new thread is annoying.

France was crushing the count then a mod decided to unleash the mail-in ballots

Hope I’m wrong but taking off a penalty taker in Kane and bringing on a non penalty taker in Watkins doesn’t seem optimal.

Nice refereeing…

i guess ingerlund is busto because they spent all their money bribing this mfer

”Dont make it too obvious”
