English Premier League 2024-25
2024-2025 EPL Preview
Man City have set another record with 115 charges of financial shenanigans and also managed to win a 4th PL title in a row becoming the first team to do so narrowly beating out arsenal who took it to the last day this year. They accomplished this by rattling off an absurd 33 games unbeaten in all competitions making it 6 titles in 7 years for the Citizens.

Season Preview:
Man City and Arsenal have distanced themselves as the clear favorites for the title. With Arsenal closing the gap and beating Man City on xG could this be the year that they get over the line? There are some large error bars on Liverpool with klopp retiring and Salah getting older, will they be able to insert themselves in the title race again like they did last year?
For top 4/5 can Aston Villa repeat last years feat thanks to the normal culprits being completely incompetent or will one of Chelsea/United get their **** together finally (hopefully not)? Spurs went full Spurs throwing the match vs City to stop arsenal from winning the title while costing themselves top 4 in the process, will they be in the race again despite doing no business at all in the summer to address squad needs?
The relegation fight as usual has the 3 promoted teams as favorites to go back down, but with PSR looming in the background could we see a surprise team relegated?
Martin gone from Southampton
Hardly surprising, I haven’t seen a manager so stubbornly continuing to try and play in a style that obviously won't work against PL opposition since Vincent Kompany.
Maybe Bayern Munich will come calling for him.
Southampton are wankers, they could have waited until Boxing Day when we play them.
The stay humble karma is stronger than we thought.
Another Monday night game for us tonight. I’m excited at the prospect of seeing us cut to ribbons by a team with a smaller budget. Again.
Bournemouth have to score there
Christ that flick from Evanilson might be the best touch all season
Seems harsh when it resulted in a clear goal scoring chance for West Ham.
Bournemouth are going to win this…
NFO and CHE the only sides to book wins over the past two match days
Jiust saw the Serie A table.
Juve currently 6th after 16 games but are unbeaten
Random morning thought, but I dont think people appreciate how awful that Sterling loan was. My guy is beyond cooked.
Thankfully he didnt sunrun so we spare a 50-60£ mill on this. My main man Lego Pep thinks he can save everyone.
Additionally it is funny how after 2 draws (admittedly horrible ones) the Lego Pep disassembly squad is in full force on X/Threads.
I missed the match because we had someone staying but I don’t think it’s just the draws, it’s the lack of goals and chances created. xG was 1.2 so the finishing is a problem but you’d also hope to create more opportunities than that.
In trying to make the team more defensively solid the attack has been blunted too much. Plus, it’s missing an exciting and unpredictable attacking talent. That used to be called Martinelli.

It's impressive that Chelsea are still paying him £150k/week and have the better side of the deal
If anyone wants a laugh, look up Carragher's top 10 PL forwards list
It’s not the same if its not delivered via his marshmallow mouth.
Mykhailo Mudryk confirmed on his Instagram, external account that a banned substance had been found in a urine sample he provided

Not even 3 years have passed since we received regular dry bummings from anyone near the top6. This season we are most likely directly through to the champions league r16, top4 not even a real question until others pick up pace. Might be through the mickey semi etc.
Not exactly looking dark. But yes 2 weeks of subpar attacking performance and fire the guy.
Sterling cock up might be the one thing that I would bring up on the shitlist. We needed someone that can provide competition for our wingers and an out and out striker. 2nd best striker in the league won't cut it Im afraid.
Also I wonder about Martinelli, did he get the Grealish treatment and just got all creativity confiscated from him? He is like Cleverlinho with the backpasses.

It's pretty wild. After his Pool days I would have killed for him, even after City he was frustratingly underperforming his xG, but still kinda dangerous with like 25 G/A per season.
I guess he has no room in a team where you need to score one from the three big chances created.
Well I wasn’t in agreement with people wanting a change of manager - that would be ridiculous at this point - but I think people were banking on Merino being a Xhaka like fix to the left that brings out the best in Martinelli again but that’s far from certain.
I’m sure the Sterling loan is recognised as a mistake now, a last minute move made when other targets evaporated, but to go from a 91 PL goals season to this is concerning.
I want Benitez just for the lols here
Well yea, but we scored enough tbf and had a pretty tough schedule. Definitely the last 3 games were no bueno with most our attacking talent fit.
Also would bang my head against the wall if we didn't sign a striker in the upcoming 2 windows.
Watch Lego Pep go after Rashford instead of Vlahovic/Isak
I was advocating them to go for Rashford a couple of seasons ago, but his 300k/week wages and fee would have made it a big risk. Now he's 27 and although he's the right type of player he carries too much baggage and maybe not enough ambition.
Isak would be great though and I think he could be used carefully enough to mitigate the injury risks.
