NCAA FOOTBALL 2024 MEGA THREAD - WELCOME TO THE PLAYOFF ERA
Just 8 days until Florida State plays Georgia Tech!
A lot happened while you were away:
Texas and Oklahoma joined the SEC
The Pac-12 went out in a blaze of glory:
Oregon, Washington, USC and UCLA are headed to the B1G
Utah, Arizona, Arizona State and Colorado are headed to the B12
Cal and Stanford along with SMU are somehow headed to the ACC
Poor old Wazzu and Oregon State are now aligned with the MWC in some sort of in-flux relationship
The conferences are huge now, and the schedules are wildly imbalanced. Florida might have the hardest schedule in the history of the sport, while Missouri's playing a sun-belt slate.
FSU and Clemson play each other, but then play ZERO common ACC opponents
Utah/Baylor and Arizona/Kansas State play non-conference games against conference opponents
LSU and USC play in Vegas!
Boise goes to Oregon, a team they've never lost to!
Texas at Michigan!
Alabama at Wisconsin!
Notre Dame at ATM!
Clemson vs Georgia!
And there are some incredibly juicy new conference matchups:
Texas @ ATM is back!
Texas vs Georgia
Oregon vs Ohio State
USC @ Michigan
USC vs Penn State
And then the bizarre:
UCLA @ Rutgers is now a conference game
Syracuse plays home and away against Cal and Stanford for some reason
Half the teams have new coaches, transferred quarterbacks, or both!
Let's get it on!
With Milroe playing and all of Michigan's nfl talent presumably opting out, Bama gonna destroy us. Whatever the spread bet Bama. Seriously.
What do you mean, "presumably"? You're the Michigan guy--any word on anybody important besides Edwards actually opting out?
...and its -11 on a 43 total
Without Beck I think I cautiously bet ND.

Well obviously the greatest DT in Michigan history is out (Graham) and Will Johnson is out. I haven't kept meticulous track cuz I honestly don't care about bowl games but I'm assuming our other possible 1st rd pick DT, Kenneth Grant is out and our NFL TE Loveland is out. I'm also assuming our best RB, Kalel Mullings, our best OL, Hinton, our best edge rusher, Stewart, are all opting out.
So Michigan is barely gonna field a team and we already have no talent at QB and WRs. So yea this is gonna be a massacre.
Definitely a tragic injury given how easy Georgia's bracket is. They were damn near guaranteed to get to the Championship game. It's injuries like this that have to remind us how special and lucky national titles are. If JJ had gotten injured in the Big Ten Championship game last year that "what if" would haunt me forever. At least you got two national title memories to fall back on but I hate when that **** happens to anyone.
Ranked wins
Indiana:0
Kentucky:1
I will not be taking any follow-up questions

Not to be too spicy, but Beck looked like complete ass in most of the UGA games I saw this season. In the game he got hurt the backup was notably better, of course who knows how much of that is due to play calling and other factors.

Loveland is confirmed out, Grant is all but confirmed. Best WR Tyler Morris is in the portal.
I haven't seen anything definitive, but I expect Mullings to play. Dunno about Hinton or Stewart. More likely Hinton plays, his draft stock isn't anything special.
It'll be the same bad offense and the defense won't be as deep but will still be decent. Still the obvious bet is Alabama. ETA: And the under, lol at Michigan scoring.
CIG might actually be a fraud
Smu wins in a close one.
Texas crushes Clemson.
Tennessee crushes Osu and plants a Michigan flag mid field. Ryan day gets fired instantly.
… is my prediction
Yeah the replies are full of people who think it made sense to try and defense your way back from down 21. Lol
inaccurate throw
missed opp
Ouch. That's gotta be deflating
Loved the story of Indiana and glad they got their moment but man. Anyone who watched tOSU game knows they weren’t ready for this ****
so lol SMU
SMU's QB blows man
SMU not here for anything
SMU getting B1G staged, B1G lifed, B1G Ten'd right before our eyes.
I mean it wasn't a GREAT throw but the guy was so ****ing open and the ball hit him right in the chest
just went back and watched the all-22 angle replay they showed
the pass didn't hit the player in the chest. the pass was clearly behind him (away from his body) and brought the defensive player into the area which helped to break up the attempt
PSU can't kick a 45 yard field goal?
4th and 13?????
