NCAA FOOTBALL 2024 MEGA THREAD - WELCOME TO THE PLAYOFF ERA
Just 8 days until Florida State plays Georgia Tech!
A lot happened while you were away:
Texas and Oklahoma joined the SEC
The Pac-12 went out in a blaze of glory:
Oregon, Washington, USC and UCLA are headed to the B1G
Utah, Arizona, Arizona State and Colorado are headed to the B12
Cal and Stanford along with SMU are somehow headed to the ACC
Poor old Wazzu and Oregon State are now aligned with the MWC in some sort of in-flux relationship
The conferences are huge now, and the schedules are wildly imbalanced. Florida might have the hardest schedule in the history of the sport, while Missouri's playing a sun-belt slate.
FSU and Clemson play each other, but then play ZERO common ACC opponents
Utah/Baylor and Arizona/Kansas State play non-conference games against conference opponents
LSU and USC play in Vegas!
Boise goes to Oregon, a team they've never lost to!
Texas at Michigan!
Alabama at Wisconsin!
Notre Dame at ATM!
Clemson vs Georgia!
And there are some incredibly juicy new conference matchups:
Texas @ ATM is back!
Texas vs Georgia
Oregon vs Ohio State
USC @ Michigan
USC vs Penn State
And then the bizarre:
UCLA @ Rutgers is now a conference game
Syracuse plays home and away against Cal and Stanford for some reason
Half the teams have new coaches, transferred quarterbacks, or both!
Let's get it on!
How the hell hasn't the NCAA/schools figure out how to properly schedule this weekend?
These Deon Pigeon commercials are veering weirdly into Dumbo magpie territory, imo.
In for the FSU seminLOLs
I don't think this was this start florida st. fans envisioned for this game.
Hahaha why throwing on 3rd and short like that.
ohhh sooooo close to hitting the killshot
Remember when FSU was projected to have the top OL year after year then they would just straight up suck? This DL was apparently considered the best by NFL scouts. Maybe something in the water? I always assumed "Florida's sewer" was in jest like "Florida's armpit" or "a town full of terrible people", but maybe there's a ring of truth there.
ESPN guy crediting FSU for a bad punt snap is nice
Why is DJ Ukulele still playing QB?
spirits uplifted!
You know what's surprising; DJ is 3-10 for 30 yards. When did he complete the other two?
Why is he side arming everything
Things were going so good for FSU and then their QB got hurt and it's been disaster after disaster since. Feel for their fans.
Remind me; can a coach challenge a spot? Because that was terribly optimistic that the guy landed on his head or something...
Comcast is pixelating my feed like crazy. It really changes the line to gain. LOL!
A wide open duck in the EZ. Clangs off the ground.
just a bit outside
This is getting sad
DJU gonna DJU
