NCAA FOOTBALL 2024 MEGA THREAD - WELCOME TO THE PLAYOFF ERA
Just 8 days until Florida State plays Georgia Tech!
A lot happened while you were away:
Texas and Oklahoma joined the SEC
The Pac-12 went out in a blaze of glory:
Oregon, Washington, USC and UCLA are headed to the B1G
Utah, Arizona, Arizona State and Colorado are headed to the B12
Cal and Stanford along with SMU are somehow headed to the ACC
Poor old Wazzu and Oregon State are now aligned with the MWC in some sort of in-flux relationship
The conferences are huge now, and the schedules are wildly imbalanced. Florida might have the hardest schedule in the history of the sport, while Missouri's playing a sun-belt slate.
FSU and Clemson play each other, but then play ZERO common ACC opponents
Utah/Baylor and Arizona/Kansas State play non-conference games against conference opponents
LSU and USC play in Vegas!
Boise goes to Oregon, a team they've never lost to!
Texas at Michigan!
Alabama at Wisconsin!
Notre Dame at ATM!
Clemson vs Georgia!
And there are some incredibly juicy new conference matchups:
Texas @ ATM is back!
Texas vs Georgia
Oregon vs Ohio State
USC @ Michigan
USC vs Penn State
And then the bizarre:
UCLA @ Rutgers is now a conference game
Syracuse plays home and away against Cal and Stanford for some reason
Half the teams have new coaches, transferred quarterbacks, or both!
Let's get it on!
sanders to hunter so much fun
Whelp, cant get any clearer than that
An underdog on the road, Cal talking about playing with an "underdog mentality"
faced with three BLINDINGLY obvious go-for-it spots, wilcox kicks 3 times and we lose 14-9
BTW, our kicker was 2/6 on FGs coming into tonight, and missed two more.
Outplayed FSU in every phase of the game and just lost because Wilcox completely sabotaged our ability to win
Feel terrible for the players who played their hearts out, just a total bummer
buffs o line playing well
doesn't matter, the play calling and decision making on the field stinks.
like seriously on a 3rd and 5 you go to your knees to catch a shoulder-high pass out of the backfield? wtf is going on out there. and then on 4th and 8, just some random dropback pass for shedeur to get sacked. are there no plays in Fat Shurmer's playbook to pick up 5-8 yards on a quick pass downfield? this crap is just terrible at every turn.
yes I'm ranting, I realize...
ecu and liberty back at it after something like a 5 hour delay
sighh
Baylor just determined to keep Colorado from sucking their way to another loss
shank! so you're telling me there's a chance ...
OU got their QB doing flips out there
Wow, thats an all-time bad spot to screw Colorado there
Edit: and now a Lolhilarious drop. This game has everything
LOLOL
he dropped it.
what the hell was that?
if PRIME is serious about treating these guys as pros, get rid of #14 tomorrow. hell, get rid of him going off of the field.
other than that, I'm too tired and angry to rant anymore 2nite. congrats baylor bettors and fans on your win.
Holy Moly
No....****ing...way
OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
holly ****in ****
every single colorado game is ****in bonkers
Toledo / WKU is also completely unhinged
Toledo up 21-10, massive weather delay
finally come back, WKU bangs it quickly 26-21
Toledo drives for winning td, gets into the red zone but can't score
announcer apoplectic they didn't call 1 of their 3 TOs on 4th down, but now they have 3 TOs to stop the clock, there's like 50 seconds left
first play wku qb runs and is stripped and toledo scores td
called down, they overturn it but recovery at spot
toledo has ball back, gets to 10 yard line then throws pick gg
Lololol what a perfect way to end if he's not in
