**** 2024 Season-Long NFL PEEHS! ****
Hello again, football fans!
It’s that time of year again! The premier, flagship contest of SE, Season-Long NFL PEEHS, is returning for its 12th season, the second under my stewardship. When Kris ran this contest, I always appreciated how much fun it was, and how it brought this diverse little community of football fans together. With his blessing, I’ll be running it again, for hopefully the best installment yet!
But I may need help. I work, and it’s a long season through the holidays, and I know I won’t be available for the Thanksgiving reveals. I’d like for last year’s go-to guest revealer Rawlz517 to be able to step in, if he’s available, or I’ll take any volunteers if he’s not. If schedules change, we’ll play it by ear.
I’ve never played PEEHS before, what is it?
PEEHS is basically a fun, free NFL football futures contest. You make an entry by giving answers to the 25 questions before the season starts, and I reveal the answers once a week as the season goes along. For every question, your answer will either be CORRECT, or INCORRECT.
If your answer is CORRECT, your score for that question will simply be the number of people who selected your same correct answer. If you’re the only person to select your correct answer, that’s an ACE! …and your score for that question is 1.
If your answer is INCORRECT, then your score for that question is the number of people who picked the SHEEP answer (most popular answer), plus the number of different correct answers submitted for that question. The SHEEP (most popular answer) can be either correct or incorrect; all that matters is the number of people who selected the SHEEP.
Therefore it’s most important to be CORRECT in all your answers, but also be among the fewest participants that select your correct answers.
Scores add up per question over the season. Lowest score wins.
Our reigning 2023 Champion is pwnsall!
How do I enter?
Anyone can enter by sending me a single-spaced, non-numbered PM with your answers. Please correctly spell first AND last names for player names, and just use mascots for team names.
Since we get questions on this every year...

Good luck and let us football!!!
Our last 3-point correct is the Broncos' kicker Wil Lutz. Kicking in the thin mile high air, he's missed one from 50+, and made one at 51.

Our next corrects are a pair of 2-point answers. The Chiefs' kicker Harrison Butker holds some opinions that would be best served kept to himself, but the football player has been a reliable kicker on a good offense for some time now. He's 2-4 from 50+, with a long of 54.

stephnick
Also played by 2 contestants, our next correct is the Buccs' kicker Chase McLaughlin. He's a perfect 5-5 from 50+, with a long of 56.

Question 5 closes with a whopping NINE aces.
We'll start with my boy, the Falcons' kicker Younghoe Koo. Last week, we somehow managed to stop the clock with 1 second left, and he trotted out for a 48 yard field goal as time expired to force overtime. Then, the Falcons took an inexcusable DELAY OF GAME penalty, to back it up to 53, which is more than 50+. Koo calmly drilled it, but he was ALREADY correct. Against the Saints, he had a 58 yard kick, as time expired, to WIN THE GAME, when a miss would have meant a loss. But he was STILL already correct, because he's 5-6 from 50+ so far this year.
bazooka87
Our next ace is a homer pick coming in for the win. Not a lot has gone right for the Jaguars so far this season, but Cam Little is 2 for 2 from 50+, with a long of 53.
Needle77
Once again, this question is shaping up to be "who mashes the homer button most effectively?" The Bills' kicker Tyler Bass only has one qualifying attempt, from exactly 50, but it was true for the ACE.
natediggity
Our next ace is the Browns' kicker Dustin Hopkins. He's 4-5 from 50+, with a long of 56.

How was Santos 2nd most popular answer ffs :(
Our next correct is San Francisco's kicker Jake Moody. He's currently 2nd on the kicking leaderboard in field goals made, and tied for total points with Brandon Aubrey. Moody is 2-3 from 50+, with a long of 53.
Jeremy517
I'm salty about the next ace. I picked the Texans' kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn last year, and he would have been an ace, but he was incorrect. So of COURSE he's correct this year for the ace. Somebody tweet at SVP's Bad Beats segment. Of COURSE Fairbairn has the MOST made kicks from 50+ so far this season, going 8 for 9. His long is 59.
Heafner
Our next ace is the well-travelled Matt Prater. He currently kicks in a dome for the Cardinals. His only attempt from 50+ was a make at 57 yards.
AussieJack
Our next ace is the rookie kicker in Minnesota, Will Reichard. The Crimson Tide have hilariously had a fatal flaw of poor kickers, but Reichard appears to have bucked the mold. Reichard is thus far perfect on field goals, perfect on extra points, and 2-2 from 50+. A perfect-on-the-season Minnesota Vikings kicker? Just like Gary Anderson!
smartDFS
We'll close the Question 5 aces with the guy who might be the least likely to be correct, the Giants' kicker Graham Gano. He's only played in 2 games this season before going on IR, and only made two field goals. But one of them was from exactly 50.

With a SHEEP score of 6, plus 17 different correct answers submitted, incorrects will receive a score of 23 for this question.
...Ouch.
Here are the scores after 5 questions!
Heafner moves into a tie for the top spot with mattew88!
The six names in bold have a perfect game going.
With that question, EVERYONE has graduated from the Trollface Memorial Club!
...As YOURS TRULY takes over the Trollface spot on the back of starting SHEEP, SHEEP, incorrect, incorrect, incorrect!
That's all for this week!
Enjoy the games this weekend!
We'll have the Question 6 Reveal either Tuesday or Wednesday, where we'll see if your guy can put up big receiving games!
Another question where I thought I took someone else . This time worked out for me lol. I assumed I had taken Aubrey .
Like all football fans, I'm keeping an eye on the statistical oddity this year of passing numbers being down across the league. Especially for this question, and the next question.
I thought of unilaterally changing the qualifiers, because otherwise we'll have a funky distribution of correct/incorrect answers.
To me, the platonic ideal of a PEEHS question is the field being 50-75% correct. That way it's moderately painful to be incorrect, there'll be a SHEEP, and some unique corrects that will be rewarded for being correct, and taking a risk.
However, you don't enter a PEEHS contest, with questions about kickers and defensive players, if you're averse to mayhem and variance. Some people got the questions right, as written, and they'll be summarily rewarded for taking risks.
For everyone else, (myself included), the PEEHS beatings shall continue, until morale improves.
So. Without further ado,
Who's here? It's time for the Question 6 Reveal!
6. Name a RB/WR/TE with TWO+ 100 yard receiving games by the end of Week 6.
For this question, we had 8 correct answers, and 40 incorrect answers.
We'll start by reviewing the incorrects first.
The most popular incorrect answers, and SHEEP's, were two answers given by 6 contestants. CeeDee Lamb appears to be openly feuding with Dak, and checks out after the first quarter... which is historically when Dallas is in the process of going down by 20+ points. He has 3 games over 89 yards, but none over 100.

Also played by 6 players, our next incorrect is Tyreek Hill. Remember way back in Week 1? When Miami was a legit contender in the AFC, and Tua was full of courage. Reek caught 7 balls for 130 yards that week. However, the next best game since for this aspiring porn star is 69 yards. (Nice).

Our next incorrects are a pair of answers played by 5 entrants. My favorite non-Falcon in the NFL is Justin Jefferson, who had a jaw-dropping 99 yard TD reception in week 3. Unfortunately for me, that's the only game he went over 100, at 133. It may have been a mistake to pick a player with a bye before week 6, but even with 1 fewer game, he's currently 6th on the NFL receiving yards leaderboard.

Also played by 5 players, our next incorrect is Amon-Ra St. Brown. The Sun God has also already had his bye, and also had one game over 100, an 11-catch masterpiece for 119. His next best game is 75 yards.
