**** 2024 Season-Long NFL PEEHS! ****
Hello again, football fans!
It’s that time of year again! The premier, flagship contest of SE, Season-Long NFL PEEHS, is returning for its 12th season, the second under my stewardship. When Kris ran this contest, I always appreciated how much fun it was, and how it brought this diverse little community of football fans together. With his blessing, I’ll be running it again, for hopefully the best installment yet!
But I may need help. I work, and it’s a long season through the holidays, and I know I won’t be available for the Thanksgiving reveals. I’d like for last year’s go-to guest revealer Rawlz517 to be able to step in, if he’s available, or I’ll take any volunteers if he’s not. If schedules change, we’ll play it by ear.
I’ve never played PEEHS before, what is it?
PEEHS is basically a fun, free NFL football futures contest. You make an entry by giving answers to the 25 questions before the season starts, and I reveal the answers once a week as the season goes along. For every question, your answer will either be CORRECT, or INCORRECT.
If your answer is CORRECT, your score for that question will simply be the number of people who selected your same correct answer. If you’re the only person to select your correct answer, that’s an ACE! …and your score for that question is 1.
If your answer is INCORRECT, then your score for that question is the number of people who picked the SHEEP answer (most popular answer), plus the number of different correct answers submitted for that question. The SHEEP (most popular answer) can be either correct or incorrect; all that matters is the number of people who selected the SHEEP.
Therefore it’s most important to be CORRECT in all your answers, but also be among the fewest participants that select your correct answers.
Scores add up per question over the season. Lowest score wins.
Our reigning 2023 Champion is pwnsall!
How do I enter?
Anyone can enter by sending me a single-spaced, non-numbered PM with your answers. Please correctly spell first AND last names for player names, and just use mascots for team names.
Since we get questions on this every year...

Good luck and let us football!!!
Our next corrects are a pair of 2 pointers. The Los Angeles Chargers are the last team to have qualified twice, with their Week 2 win at the Panthers, 26 - 3, and again in Week 7 vs the Saints, 26 - 8.

Our other 2-point correct is the Pittsburgh Steelers. They defeated the Broncos in Denver 13 - 6, in Week 2. Honorable mention for holding my Falcons to 10, although the offense wasn't really clicking yet.

Question 8 closes with four aces.
The Washington Commanders thumped the Panthers in Week 7, 40 - 7, largely behind the efforts of Marcus Mariota.
POGcrazy94
Our next ace is the Seattle Seahawks, who beat the Dolphins 24 - 3 in Week 3.
TehBankertin
Our last two aces are homer picks that came in for the WIN!
The Detroit Lions, even without Hutchinson, are looking like the most complete team in the NFL right now. They humiliated the Cowboys on Jerry's birthday, 47 - 9.
Booker Wolfbox
Our final ace is the Philadelphia Eagles. I keep insisting that their defense HAS to be better, with all those UGA guys. Anyway, they were in Week 7, when they got to Daniel Jones 8 times and vanquished the Andrew Thomas-less (also UGA!) Giants, 28 - 3.

With a SHEEP score of 12, plus 8 different correct answers submitted, myself and the incorrects will receive a score of 20 for this question.
Here are the scores after 8 questions!
Jeremy stays up top, but the field gets closer, as we welcome MrWookie to the podium!
...And I am comfortably secure in the Trollface Award chase. Resisting the temptation to look ahead and find when I finally get something right.
That's all for this week!
Enjoy the games this weekend, and we'll be back on Wednesday, to see if your guy has 5+ sacks!
...I plan on doing that reveal VERY hungover into the afternoon, after sweating the election results.
See you then!
OMG
lol giants thank you
Damn. Thought for sure I picked chargers
and i thought i picked the broncos
Who's here? It's time for the Question 9 Reveal!
9. Name a defensive player with 5+ sacks by the end of Week 9.
For this question, we had 27 correct answers, and 21 incorrect answers.
We'll start by reviewing the incorrects first.
The most popular incorrect answer (though not the SHEEP) was played by 4 players: the Giants' Kayvon Thibodeaux. He's been productive while he's been in there, but is currently week to week following wrist surgery. He has 2 sacks.

Our next incorrects are would-be 2-pointers. For this question, I selected Nnamdi Madubuike, who is formerly known as Justin Madubuike. He's a fine defensive tackle for the Ravens, who qualified comfortably for this question last year. This year, he's been healthy, but only has 2 sacks.
Amru
TJ Eckleburg12
Also played by 2 players, our next incorrect is Khalil Mack. The pass rushing star for the Chargers just came up short for this question, officially on 4.5 sacks so far.

Another would-be 2-pointer is the Cowboys' perennial threat for Defensive Player of the Year, Micah Parsons. Hopefully he comes back soon, because the league is more fun when he's wrecking games. He has 1 sack so far this year.

Our final would-be 2-pointer is the Chiefs' defensive stalwart Chris Jones. The nose for a very good Kansas City defense has 3 sacks on the season.

Our other 6-point correct SHEEP is the lone bright spot for the Raiders, Maxx Crosby. Routinely leading the league in snaps from the defensive end position, one of the most injured in the NFL, this iron man has 6.5 sacks this year.
