**** 2024 Season-Long NFL PEEHS! ****
Hello again, football fans!
It’s that time of year again! The premier, flagship contest of SE, Season-Long NFL PEEHS, is returning for its 12th season, the second under my stewardship. When Kris ran this contest, I always appreciated how much fun it was, and how it brought this diverse little community of football fans together. With his blessing, I’ll be running it again, for hopefully the best installment yet!
But I may need help. I work, and it’s a long season through the holidays, and I know I won’t be available for the Thanksgiving reveals. I’d like for last year’s go-to guest revealer Rawlz517 to be able to step in, if he’s available, or I’ll take any volunteers if he’s not. If schedules change, we’ll play it by ear.
I’ve never played PEEHS before, what is it?
PEEHS is basically a fun, free NFL football futures contest. You make an entry by giving answers to the 25 questions before the season starts, and I reveal the answers once a week as the season goes along. For every question, your answer will either be CORRECT, or INCORRECT.
If your answer is CORRECT, your score for that question will simply be the number of people who selected your same correct answer. If you’re the only person to select your correct answer, that’s an ACE! …and your score for that question is 1.
If your answer is INCORRECT, then your score for that question is the number of people who picked the SHEEP answer (most popular answer), plus the number of different correct answers submitted for that question. The SHEEP (most popular answer) can be either correct or incorrect; all that matters is the number of people who selected the SHEEP.
Therefore it’s most important to be CORRECT in all your answers, but also be among the fewest participants that select your correct answers.
Scores add up per question over the season. Lowest score wins.
Our reigning 2023 Champion is pwnsall!
How do I enter?
Anyone can enter by sending me a single-spaced, non-numbered PM with your answers. Please correctly spell first AND last names for player names, and just use mascots for team names.
Since we get questions on this every year...

Good luck and let us football!!!
For our next correct answer, let's pour one out for a real one, Aidan Hutchinson. According to PFF, he amassed an unfathomable 45 pressures in 5 games before tragically (and gruesomely) breaking his tibia. That was 11 pressures clear of 2nd place at the time. For the purposes of this question, that translates to 7.5 sacks... which is still tied for 4th on the season.

Our next corrects are a trio of 3-point answers. An athletic freak who came out early, my favorite "Danielle Hunter is awesome" stat is that he's STILL the youngest player in NFL history to 50 career sacks. He's still doing his thing in Houston now, with 5.5 sacks this season.

Also played by 3 contestants, our next correct is the DPOY candidate TJ Watt. The most fearsome player on a nasty Steelers' defense, he has 6.5 sacks this season.

Melkerson
Our final 3-point correct is the focal point of the Browns' defense, Myles Garrett. The fearsome pass rusher has 7 sacks this season.

Question 9 closes with 2 aces.
The former crown jewel of the Panthers' defense, Carolina turned down a first for Brian Burns at the trade deadline last year, and then lost him for nothing, when he walked to the Giants. He's playing well for them, with 5 sacks on the season.
Sorry heels!

Our final ace is the one man who was drafted ahead of Aidan Hutchinson, the former UGA star Travon Walker. The #1 overall pick has been playing much better and more consistently this season, to the point where drafting him where the Jags did doesn't look AS glaring a mistake. He has 6.5 sacks so far this year.

With a SHEEP score of 6, plus 8 different correct answers submitted, incorrects will receive a score of 14 for this question.
Here are the scores after 9 questions!
MrWookie slides into the top spot, and we welcome Heafner to the podium!
...Don't worry, I'm still COMFORTABLY in last... and I have no idea if it's ever getting better.
That's all for this week!
Another BARN BURNER of an international game this weekend... I know everyone's stoked to get up early for Panthers/Giants from Munich!
We'll look at who's scored international touchdowns, IN A WINNING EFFORT, either next Tuesday or Thursday! See you then.
This was pretty funny to look at.
No Will Anderson guesses must be a huge upset. No Josh (now Hines-)Allen guesses must be a small upset.
Dexter Lawrence is having an absurd season considering the position he plays, his size, and how often he gets double-teamed. Should be the DPOY favorite.
Who's here? It's time for the Question 10 Reveal!
10. Name a player to score a rushing, receiving, or return TD in a WINNING EFFORT in an international game by the end of Week 10.
Another bloodbath of a question.
Perhaps we should consider dropping the "in a winning effort" qualifier for this question going forward.
Anyway, as written, we have 6 correct answers, and 42 incorrect answers.
We'll do this reveal a little different, and reveal the correct answers first.
Our most popular correct answer was played by 3 contestants. Saquon Barkley emphatically announced his presence on the Philadelphia Eagles back in Week 1 in Sao Paulo, as he scored THREE touchdowns in their opening day win.

Our next most popular correct answer was played by 2 entrants. The Jaguars' fine rookie receiver Brian Thomas Jr. didn't score in the Jags' loss to the Bears, but he DID score in their win over the Patriots in London in Week 7.

There will be no towel-throwing-in for THIS question! (Unlike Jake Paul, in a few days)
Apparently, the Carolina Panthers employ something called a Ja'Tavion Sanders. He's a rookie 4th round tight end, with 256 receiving yards on the season so far. He has exactly ONE receiving touchdown on the season,
and it came in Munich,
during the Panthers' third WINNING EFFORT out of their 10 games so far this season.
...FACE-MELTER!

Here are the 9 correct answers that weren't played!
...three of whom were double qualifiers 😮
AJ Brown, 67 yard rec TD
Andrew Van Ginkel, 63 yard INT ret TD
CJ Ham, 2 yard rush TD
Cole Kmet, 31 yard rec TD, AND 2 yard rec TD
Keenan Allen, 9 yard rec TD, AND 3 yard rec TD
D'Andre Swift, 1 yard rush TD
Tank Bigsby, 1 yard rush TD, AND 4 yard rush TD
Parker Washington, 96 yard punt ret TD
Chuba Hubbard, 1 yard rush TD
On to the incorrect answers!
Our SHEEP answer was played by 9 players. Travis Etienne has been wildly disappointing for his fantasy owners this season, along with the Jaguars generally. He wasn't even healthy for the Jags' two international games this year... and obviously he didn't score in a win.

Our next most popular incorrects were a pair of would-be 4 pointers. I went with Evan Engram, getting two bites at the apple with the Jags' two London games. He WAS the leading receiver in the Jags' loss vs the Bears, but he didn't score in their win over the Patriots.

Also played by 4 contestants, our next incorrect is Jalen Hurts. He did throw a passing TD to AJ Brown in the win, but didn't score a rushing, receiving, or return TD, as the question specifies. There were no tush pushes in Sao Paolo (in the stadium, anyway) in the week 1 win over the Packers.

Our next incorrect, played by 3 entrants, is a tough beat. Gabe Davis did score (TWICE!) vs the Bears in London, but the Jaguars lost comfortably.

Also played by 3 players, our next incorrect is Christian Kirk. He's been varying degrees of hurt and disappointing for the Jaguars this season.
