**** 2024 Season-Long NFL PEEHS! ****
Hello again, football fans!
It’s that time of year again! The premier, flagship contest of SE, Season-Long NFL PEEHS, is returning for its 12th season, the second under my stewardship. When Kris ran this contest, I always appreciated how much fun it was, and how it brought this diverse little community of football fans together. With his blessing, I’ll be running it again, for hopefully the best installment yet!
But I may need help. I work, and it’s a long season through the holidays, and I know I won’t be available for the Thanksgiving reveals. I’d like for last year’s go-to guest revealer Rawlz517 to be able to step in, if he’s available, or I’ll take any volunteers if he’s not. If schedules change, we’ll play it by ear.
I’ve never played PEEHS before, what is it?
PEEHS is basically a fun, free NFL football futures contest. You make an entry by giving answers to the 25 questions before the season starts, and I reveal the answers once a week as the season goes along. For every question, your answer will either be CORRECT, or INCORRECT.
If your answer is CORRECT, your score for that question will simply be the number of people who selected your same correct answer. If you’re the only person to select your correct answer, that’s an ACE! …and your score for that question is 1.
If your answer is INCORRECT, then your score for that question is the number of people who picked the SHEEP answer (most popular answer), plus the number of different correct answers submitted for that question. The SHEEP (most popular answer) can be either correct or incorrect; all that matters is the number of people who selected the SHEEP.
Therefore it’s most important to be CORRECT in all your answers, but also be among the fewest participants that select your correct answers.
Scores add up per question over the season. Lowest score wins.
Our reigning 2023 Champion is pwnsall!
How do I enter?
Anyone can enter by sending me a single-spaced, non-numbered PM with your answers. Please correctly spell first AND last names for player names, and just use mascots for team names.

Good luck and let us football!!!
Our next ace is maybe the best corner in the game right now, the Broncos' outstanding CB Patrick Surtain Jr.. He's a chip off the old block, as NFL fans of a certain age may remember his dad playing at a borderline HOF level. He's also the highest paid CB in the league, and he also has 3 INT's this year.

Our final two aces for this question are the two men tied for the lead in interceptions in the NFL. The Lions' safety Kerby Joseph has a game-wrecking 7 picks this year.
Booker Wolfbox
Staying in the division, the safety tied with Joseph for the lead in interceptions, with 7, is the Packers' safety Xavier McKinney.

With a SHEEP score of 5, plus 13 different correct answers submitted, incorrects will receive a score of 18 for this question.
Here are the scores after 14 questions!
royalblue slides into the top spot, as our podium is separated by the razor-thin margin of 2 total points!
That's all for this week!
Enjoy the games this weekend, and check back on Wednesday, where we'll see if your team is leading or co-leading its division!
And for the record, if your team has the same record as the division leader, but is down on tiebreakers, that ABSOLUTELY counts as "co-leading the division."
It's nice to see myself slowing climb up the standings before the season's end questions get tallied. I am legit live to miss them all.
thanks again for running tj
happy for my position cause zero research
Happy Birthday TJ!
Keep your sports chin up. The Braves will be playing baseball before you know it.
Who's here? It's time for the Question 15 Reveal!
15. Name a team leading (or co-leading) its division by the end of Week 15.
For this question, we had 27 correct answers, and 21 incorrect answers.
We'll start by reviewing the incorrects first.
Tied for our most popular incorrect answer, we have the 4 players who selected the Dallas Cowboys. They look like a different team when Micah Parsons is healthy, but they've missed time from several key contributors. They're 3rd in the NFC East.

Also played by 4 contestants, our next incorrect is the San Francisco 49ers. They've also been bitten hard by the injury bug this year, as they're last in the NFC West, but only 2 games out of first somehow?

The next most popular incorrect was played by 3 entrants. The Green Bay Packers are having a fine season at 10-4, but that's only good for 3rd in the excellent NFC North.

Our next incorrect was played by 2 players, including yours truly. I really fell for it, believing in my terrible Atlanta Falcons. I thought things might be different when we got out to a fast start, and won some crazy end games with Kirk. Turns out it was a fish on a heater, and now Kirk is benched for Michael Penix. We're still technically in this thing, holding the tiebreaker over UNREVEALED CORRECT, so I guess we'll see if the kid can play.

Also played by 2 players, our next incorrect is the Cincinnati Bengals. They sure are having a weird year, with Burrow and Chase balling out. I guess a lot of the blame falls on the defense, and the once well-regarded Lou Anarumo... yet Trey Hendrickson is near the top of the league in sacks. If that head coaching job becomes available, it's instantly the most desirable opening this cycle.

Our next would-be 2 pointer is the Miami Dolphins. If you want to start a conversation with any NFL fan, all you have to say is, "Just tell me this... it Tua GOOD?" Well, maybe, in good weather or a dome, with all his weapons healthy, he can succeed... Yet they haven't beaten any good teams going on two years now. Their loss this past week probably knocks them out of the playoff picture, as most of the AFC seems set.

Also played by 2 contestants, our next incorrect is the Baltimore Ravens. Lamar is putting up crazy numbers, and seems set to pass Mike Vick for the career QB rushing yards title any week now. For this question, though, they're a game back of Pittsburgh for the AFC North.

Our remaining incorrects are the loyal ace-hunting homers.

Here are the 3 correct answers that weren't played by the participants!
Pittsburgh Steelers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Los Angeles Rams
This question's SHEEP answer was played by 12 entrants. The Kansas City Chiefs just keep winning games, and dominating the AFC West. Two games clear of the AFC 1-seed, they even have the possible luxury of resting Mahomes as he gets better for their next stretch of 3 games in 11 days.

Our next most popular correct answer was played by 5 contestants. The Philadelphia Eagles are on quite a roll, with a double digit winning streak. I heard some crazy stat that their defense (stocked full of UGA players) has held 3 teams under 175 total yards, which has never happened before. They comfortably lead the NFC East.

Our next corrects are a pair of 4-point answers. The Detroit Lions are in a fight for the NFC top seed, but their defense has dealt with some staggering injuries. They've looked very impressive for most of the season, so we'll see how things shake out in the coming months.

Also played by 4 players, our next correct is the Houston Texans. CJ Stroud looks a lot better when Nico Collins is healthy, and they have one of the better pass rushes in the league, which isn't often discussed. They lead the AFC South by 3 games.

Question 15 closes with 2 aces.
The Seattle Seahawks are tied for the NFC West with the Rams, and are down on tiebreakers... but that counts as co-leading the division! We'll see how they do with Geno Smith's potential injury.

Our last ace for this question, the one nobody saw coming, is the Buffalo Bills. With Josh Allen now the prohibitive MVP favorite, and a defense that's better than people think, they've had the AFC East wrapped up since practically October.
