**** 2024 Season-Long NFL PEEHS! ****
Hello again, football fans!
It’s that time of year again! The premier, flagship contest of SE, Season-Long NFL PEEHS, is returning for its 12th season, the second under my stewardship. When Kris ran this contest, I always appreciated how much fun it was, and how it brought this diverse little community of football fans together. With his blessing, I’ll be running it again, for hopefully the best installment yet!
But I may need help. I work, and it’s a long season through the holidays, and I know I won’t be available for the Thanksgiving reveals. I’d like for last year’s go-to guest revealer Rawlz517 to be able to step in, if he’s available, or I’ll take any volunteers if he’s not. If schedules change, we’ll play it by ear.
I’ve never played PEEHS before, what is it?
PEEHS is basically a fun, free NFL football futures contest. You make an entry by giving answers to the 25 questions before the season starts, and I reveal the answers once a week as the season goes along. For every question, your answer will either be CORRECT, or INCORRECT.
If your answer is CORRECT, your score for that question will simply be the number of people who selected your same correct answer. If you’re the only person to select your correct answer, that’s an ACE! …and your score for that question is 1.
If your answer is INCORRECT, then your score for that question is the number of people who picked the SHEEP answer (most popular answer), plus the number of different correct answers submitted for that question. The SHEEP (most popular answer) can be either correct or incorrect; all that matters is the number of people who selected the SHEEP.
Therefore it’s most important to be CORRECT in all your answers, but also be among the fewest participants that select your correct answers.
Scores add up per question over the season. Lowest score wins.
Our reigning 2023 Champion is pwnsall!
How do I enter?
Anyone can enter by sending me a single-spaced, non-numbered PM with your answers. Please correctly spell first AND last names for player names, and just use mascots for team names.

With a SHEEP score of 14, plus 5 different correct answers submitted, incorrects will again receive a score of 19 for this question.
Here are the scores after 2 questions!
mattew88 takes a hammer lock on first place, on the back of opening 2, 1 for the first two questions!
Names in bold have a perfect game going.
...We have 7 members of the Trollface Memorial Club, led by our reigning Trollface Champion, MrsWookie! She may face some stiff competition this year from homer-heavy entries.
That's all for this week!
Enjoy the games this weekend, and we'll have the Question 3 Reveal next Monday! Where we'll see if your team blew their home opener.
Ok, so my strategy of trying for difficult answers in the hopes of going "Ace or Bust" has thusfar proven BUSTO
I thought 14 people on Seattle, and one on the back to back champs, was pretty funny
Our final incorrect is the Carolina Panthers. Authors of the worst point differential in the NFL (by a LOT), the Panthers have already benched the prize of maybe the most lopsided trade in NFL history.
Also, a PSA for football fans: Andy Dalton, the newly named starting quarterback for the Panthers, has been known by the nickname "Red RIFLE." This has been incorrectly attributed to be the "Red Rocket," which, according to urban dictionary, is when a dog has an erection.
So yeah, things are going
don't let him shoot your eye out
I don’t know how many years I’ve been playing this game (it’s a lot), but that was my first ace. Can’t believe it was by picking KC to win their first 2 games.
Who's here? It's time for the Question 3 Reveal!
3. Name a team that will lose its 2024 HOME opener by the end of Week 3.
For this question, we have 30 correct answers, and 18 incorrect answers.
We'll start by reviewing the incorrect answers first.
This question's SHEEP answer was played by yours truly and 6 others, for a total of 7 players. The Minnesota Vikings had the reigning NFC champion 49ers come to town, and the Vikings prevailed in an impressive victory.

Our next incorrects are a quartet of would-be 2 pointers. The San Francisco 49ers opened the season on Monday night against the Jets, but handled them comfortably to start the season. Mattew88's perfect game is no more! How will the new podium shake out? Stay tuned to find out!

Also played by 2 players, our next incorrect is the Arizona Cardinals. They hosted the banged-up Rams in week 2, and cruised to a decisive victory, led by a breakout Marvin Harrison Jr. performance.
Aicirt
Booker Wolfbox
Our next incorrect, played by 2 contestants, is the Washington Commanders. Their offense is intriguing, led by Jayden Daniels and Brian Robinson rushing over 100 yards to defeat the Giants in week 2.

Also played by 2 players, our next incorrect is the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers. They might have the best defense in the NFL, and they rode that to a victory at home yesterday against a similarly-then undefeated Chargers.

Our remaining 3 incorrects are would-be ace hunters. The New Orleans Saints blew the doors off the Panthers in their home opener, but now the Andy Dalton Panthers are only a game out of the NFC South lead!
tarheels2222
I parlayed my first 3 answers. It did not go well lol. But yes, the Panthers have life!
Also mashing the homer button, our next incorrect is the Miami Dolphins. They defeated the Jaguars at home in Week 1.
Needle77
Our final incorrect is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They hosted the Commanders in week 1, and won convincingly.

Here are the FIVE correct answers that weren't played by the participants!
Atlanta Falcons
Baltimore Ravens
Jacksonville Jaguars
Dallas Cowboys
Cincinnati Bengals
This question's correct SHEEP answers are a pair of 6-pointers. However, incorrect scoring will go based off the overall SHEEP answer, which was the 7 backers that took Minnesota. Anyway, our first correct SHEEP is the Carolina Panthers. They hosted the Chargers in week 2, and looked lost, in what may have been Bryce Young's last start with the team.

Also played by 6 players, our next correct is the New England Patriots. They surprised the world, and wrecked Survivor pools everywhere, going into UNGUESSED CORRECT Cincinnati and getting the win. However, they lost a close one in their first game at Gillette against the Seahawks.

Our next corrects are a pair of 4-point answers. The New York Giants got blown out by the Vikings in East Rutherford back in Week 1.
