Wait. Why not pound it up the middle one more time?

You can waste downs when you're the team of destiny.

Texans are a disaster. Did they get figured out or is just the injuries?

one of the worst o-lines in the league, plus no Nico the past 5+ games

Definitely a combo of injuries, personnel and poor coaching. And yet, they’re still 6-4 and big favorites to win the division.

The defense has been solid. The offense needs to figure it out, and Nico coming back should help a lot.

How? They have one of the best starting T duos in the league. Shaq Mason and Juice Scruggs aren't replacement level dudes. Seems like it has to be scheme / coaching.

Texans D is very good. Get Nico back and I think things change back.

Nico is still underrated, especially by casual fans. He is elite. He makes things easier for everyone.

not sure how, but the analytics/data indicate they are a bottom quartile o-line (note graph doesn't include Week 10)

How do the Bears rank that highly? Aren't they giving up an ungodly amount of sacks?

when they grade sacks they can apportion part of the blame to the line and part of the blame to the QB

my hunch is a bunch of the blame for CHI's high Sack% falls on the QB

These are not Bill Swerski's Bears

Yeah don't let the Bears sack numbers fool you. Caleb Williams was at least at fault for half the sacks yesterday holding onto the ball for way too long.

Do you think the same is true for a team like MIA?

They're rated so high more because of how quickly Tua gets rid of the ball?

time to throw certainly plays a factor in this (and Tua leads the league in ttt)

keep in mind the above graph incorporates pass blocking and run blocking (and doesn't include Weeks 9 and 10)

No ManningCast tonight. Bummer.

I'm gonna guess this is almost entirely scheme related. They were behind the chains every time I looked up last night and kept pounding Mixon: 25 for 46 hahaha. Nobody can win with that kind of 'stablishin and this Shanny tree slackjaw does not appear to have a Plan B or another gear inside that goldfish bowl. Wouldn't surprise me if they are tipping run/pass by design or just getting tendencied to death.

I am feeling both confident and ready for the worse tonight.

Stafford playing up the "Next man up" thing on the pregame. To me that always sounds like a glorified way of saying "Yes, we have a depth chart"

Stupid Canada (TSN) took ManningCast off their cable channels and make you sign up for TSN+, their streaming service to watch it. I don't know anyone that pays for that dumb package. It's annoying since I used to enjoy ManningCast
