i take that back, the pitch is another trampoline

eng aus. we've not had much trouble with the aussies in recent t20 tournaments, but will jacks bowling the second over and getting pumped for 22 runs doesnt help much

eng bowlers 123/0 after 13 overs of this tournament, most of them against scotland

:/

simple davey is in the mood

Good comeback from England

Uganda 25/8 vs west indies. Still 14 runs away from the lowest total in t20 world cup

by BOIDS k

watching NED vs SA, they are absolutely blasting 5 to 10 seconds of dance music in between every single ball. must be intolerable to be in the stadium

the 24 year old with a masters degree in events management who i assume made this decision is now ruining pak vs ind

Let's go SCOTLAND!

I think England will still pip us to 2nd even if we win tonight, England should thrash both Namibia and Oman and we'll lose to Australia so will go down to net run rate

i've always been a huge fan of omanese cricket

welcome to hell

please change into your uniform. yes it is mandatory i'm afraid

Bloody hell this is brilliant from us, chased down 151 in 13.1 overs

Only Oman bowling but still

Could be good for our net run rate vs England...

How do you bottle chasing 119 and now even get all out.

So the required runrate was too much for pakistan?

They choked it away, needing like 35 from 6 overs at one point with 6 wickets left. So it got to 30 from 3 after losing some wickets

I thought England was done there because of the rain.

Currently in a qualifying position but all that could change in a couple of hours.

:( unlikely to be a washout looking at the forecast so we will probably have to rely on AUS losing on purpose lol

Let’s not under estimate Scotland.
0/90 (10) v ENG
2/96 (10) v AUS

If they beat Australia then they deserve to go through. Of course it would be a terrible shame if we lost England at the group stage.

5/180, Scotland’s highest score against a top 10 nation

Sadly, I don’t see Australia losing this.

I can’t understand how the stupid super 8 round works. I believe that India’s place and locations were predetermined, it didn’t matter if they finished 1st or 2nd in their group.

And similar for other teams, there was no incentive to win a group. I don’t know, it’s unclear.

The teams were seeded beforehand. It was predetermined that the top seed from a group goes here and the 2nd seed goes here. So top seeds from a group (like India) knew where they were going provided that they qualified.

The rationale is that you want the groups balanced based on ability and not have a group of death and an easy group.

The truth is though that they wanted to try as hard as possible to get the fixtures they wanted when they wanted them.

India pakistan in group stage and knockout stage.

Australia England on group stage and knockout stage etc.

lockie ferguson with his 4 overs going for three wickets and no runs against PNG today, pretty cool

did go for a leg bye though so it doesnt really count

2 leg byes

Absolute scandal

Not really how any qualification stage in any sport has ever worked. Finish 1st or 2nd, same thing. Qualify and win or lose against the other team that qualified, same, same, game meant nothing. I was hoping the Super Eights would go according to in-tournament rank rather than pre-tournament seed:

***Super Eights, Group 1: A1, B2, C1, D2
***Super Eights, Group 2: A2, B1, C2, D1

So we have:

A1-IND
B1-AUS
C2-AFG
D2-BAN

A2-USA
B2-ENG
C1-WI
D1-SA

I really wanted India to play England in the second round. As long as England don’t make the semi finals I’ll be happy.

ICC successfully rigged the tourney and got all the matches it needed.

IND PAK
IND USA
IND AUS

They really have PTSD from 2007.

Today the fight is for more than tea

CRIKEY MATES

scenarios galore in the Afg v Bang match right now with a weather stoppage. No doubt events will conspire to send Australia through
