So….a big 10 head coach leaves to be an offensive coordinator at a big 10 school
I….got nothin for ya. I guess the thought is ucla is absolutely ****ed in the big 10 and he left while there was still a job he could use to leapfrog into an actual job?

According to the internet 1. Chip has been in disfavor since at least 2020. UCLA didn't can him this off season because they didn't want to pay his buyout. That AD has serious financial problems.
It's also widely rumored that 1. Chip hates a lot of the BS that comes with being a head coach and that one attractive thing about the job is that Ryan Day will let him be a play caller, not a recruiter, manager, schmoozer, etc.
If he couldn't get a NFL OC job, being OC at Ohio State (he goes way back with Ryan Day) isn't a bad gig.
I knew 1. Chip wasn’t popular at ucla but I can’t figure out what the career trajectory for 1. Chip is from here. Is 1. Chip content to be a college OC? There’s no ****ing way 1. Chip flies in the nfl again
1. Chip’s career arc is truly a tragedy in three acts

He's 60 and might have the same trajectory as Bill Belichick if he's looking for a "good" HC gig.
Had he won 10+ games at UCLA at least once or twice, maybe a decent college HC opportunity would have come up. Now it was between hoping for a 6-6 record in the Big10 (and they don't even play Michigan or Ohio State) that would have gotten him nowhere and an OC job at a big name school.
lol ucla is fuuuccckkkeeedddd
Chip Kelly to Ohio as their oc. Taking a demotion is quite the interesting move. Chip must really hate recruiting and doesn’t care about HC money. And plus now he has to live in Ohio. Weird move

coming from a fan of oregon football decades before 2007,
then to be bitch-slapped by the speed in space new hampshire spread concept that had even st nick sabin complaining about it
1. bolded some above posts which seem to be most pertinent
chip kelly doesn't have children
what use is more money?
Chip unofficially had multiple interviews with the Raiders to be their OC. Instead, the Raiders hired the Bears OC (lol). If Chip can't beat out that guy, he definitely is blacklisted from the NFL.
Deshaun Foster gets gig at UCLA.
Perfect spot for him: low bar, UCLA alum, and was thought of highly enough to be on the Raiders staff before taking this job.

Looks like being a G5 head coach is officially miserable.
broski, as bruce lee told me through jeet kune do
water can flow or it can crash
be water my friend
a g5 coach may feel bottled up by fund raising, but what may not be their cup of tea is seen as a stepping stone opportunity for others, same for the players.
i will never not watch the D1 national championship or army-navy
and no doubt if players have ability nfl scouts will find them
Apparently Florida boosters have raised enough money for Napier’s buyout. I wouldn’t expect Napier to last much longer. I assume we’ll hear something by tomorrow, if not, really soon. He’s a dead man walking. No way he lasts the season.
Edit. His buyout is 26 million btw

Was Napier involved in that fundraising? 🙄
i would happily donate the last million to secure a profit of 25x more
Ecu fired head coach Mike Houston.
Ou fired their offensive coordinator.
Southern miss just fired their head coach as well.
shortsighted ou chooses brisket over offense
if you can't outscore yourself, what else is left
Utah’s offensive coordinator is stepping down. Lot of moves happening today.
Wrong thread whoops
Ted Roof fired at UCF. Cant believe that guy is still getting jobs
in the immortal lyrics of the B52s: Ted Roof Busted
Rice canned their HC - Mike Bloomgren - over the weekend. He went 24-52 in 7+ years there.

Whatever. What's their goal? Have some high school coach do well for a year and then leave? Rice is a rich white kid baseball school and will stick with it. Maybe some swimming or gymnastics, I'll check the youtube only for research.
Jon Sumrall one time?
Norvell fired both of his coordinators and the wr coach. He probably should have started with himself.
Not that anyone cares too much but Don Brown is out at Umass and Temple fired their coach. Wisky also fired their OC. I believe Nebraska did as well?
