All the jobber bigs of the early 2000s who couldn’t dribble, shoot or defend out towards the perimeter no longer exist.

Teams will relentlessly optimise for whatever the rules are, and the player base will follow.

yeah but that is a steady changing of the game over a decade

a massive strategy changing rule change over night would be far more chaotic and instant

re Wemby obviously blood clot sounds scary but if he is fine seems like probably be better for Spurs to tank, get another pick

they were gonna have to come from 3.5 games back to get 10 seed then win 2 games just to face OKC rd 1 anyway

not that big of a deal all and all

Inb4 they sit Fox at least a few games for “illness”.

Would be so sick if they bink Cooper Flagg.

Spurs didn’t get the message to start the Tank as of tonight.

Lol Suns

Related to the corner 3 and how much the game has changed since early 2000s.

This was White Chocolate's 1st year in Memphis, so would've been 01-02.

A couple things that stand out:

A) Grant Long was too dumb to even spot up for the easy corner 3, he was always positioned just inside the line.

B) Grant Long ended up shooting 42.6% FG and 17.6% 3PT that year and he was a starter for 56 games!

Anyway, maybe the solution to the issue is that anyone who can beat Grant Long in a shooting contest is banned from spotting up in the corner.

What if they made the ball bigger, like twice the size. It would be a lot harder to make three pointers. Youd basically have to dunk

Make players wear gloves.

I had a dream recently where I was back in a grade 8 ball game and had gloves on when I took a shot. It made it more difficult.

I assume dream logic applies to real life.

You were wearing the wrong gloves. You need the Nintendo Power Glove.

Put a second rim and backboard 3' above the current rim.

3 pointers only count if you make it in that basket from behind the 3pt line.

If you dunk on the second rim, that counts as 4 points.

Grant Long was solid on the Hawks, would probably dominate this era

Real talk:

Would you even trade for Durant this Summer if you were the Rockets?

He’ll be 37 by start of next season. Injury prone. Does he even give a **** anymore?

He has what? 2 “good years” left?
I know he’ll always have his jumpshot but his versatility and defense will suffer. And he’ll become more injury prone.

Lakers are defending Jokic as a team much much much better than they did when they had AD.

Best trade of all time.

Mike Malone simply did not scheme at all to get Jokic open at halftime.

He has one shot. 0/1 from a super wide open corner 3 and 0 pts so far in 10 mins of the 3rd. He had 11 pts at halftime on 4 shots.

JJ Redick checkmate.

Jokic 2-7 from the field. Incredible.

Uh Oh Redick learned how to coach.

GG League.

And with Luka there, LeBron might play until he’s 45 !

Celtics -7.5 vs Knicks

C’s will win by 12-13 pts at a MINIMUM.

Luka teaching JJ what he taught Kidd

Knicks lose by 13.

I can see into the future. I’m like Nicholas Cage in NEXT.

I moved to Chicago c. 7 years ago and I'm yet to go to a Bulls game for a variety of reasons. In August of last year I won a dumb prize at work and prize was $XXX to spend on a list of things from a corporate gift site thing, one of the things was tickets through a broker, which I opted for.

Pricing was astronomical obvs, but whatever, it was "free", I selected Bulls tickets and am going to the game on Weds in the 6th row on floor level, pretty cool.

Just annoying they're so **** and had I waited to buy I could have gotten like second row for same price lol.

6th row up is cool!!!

by LuckyLloyd

6th row up is cool!!!

Really is, technically the courtside ones are A and B I think so it's like 8th row, but still cool. It's directly in line with baseline too I believe or maaaybe one or two seats behind as it curves, but still I'm happy with this for first experience!

I went to a bunch of Knicks and Nets games when I lived in NYC, but yet to go here.

Only two games in but Pacers looking refreshed out of the All Star Break. Were looking like they were running out of steam a bit after a sick run in Jan. Haliburton in particular looks better for the rest.

Just need Detroit to steal the 5th seed off the Bucks on the run home now. Don't want any of Giannis in playoffs even if they are coached by Doc
