Random thought. What are the most beloved NBA champs by non-team fans in NBA history. For me:
1) Rockets 95
2) Dallas 11
3) Spurs 14
4) Pacers 25
I cant count Pistons since that's my team. I love all four of those teams.
Realistically 90s Bulls are #1

Blazers 77. Probably some nostalgia for the Knicks. I bet a lot of people loved the 67 Sixers but they’re all dead now.
Among the living, Pistons & Dallas are Affirmed & Alydar. Even the most diehard labron hatedrooler doesn’t remember anything about the Spurs, but they still love Steph despite Dray.

By far the most popular non-fan champs are still, always have been, and always will be, MJ & Shaqobe. People loved AI personally, that was it, and they got the best of both worlds after his Game 1 win.

In game 7 of the 1962 NBA Finals, Celtics/Lakers, the Celtics won in OT, 110-107. It was a classic 100-100 in regulation. Auerbach had the uncanny knack of predicting scores. It was sick. I wonder if he predicted that one. Russel chipped in with 30 points and 40 rebounds in the game, both about double his average. In a game where they needed every point, he had maybe his best ever free throw shooting game: 14-17.
Oldest, most impotent whinge in sports, but Thursday-Sunday-Wednesday is beyond the realms of aids-a-roni.
They should go back to 2-3-2
Reason is it gave away team too much comfort having 3 game stretch at home. The favorite has to travel twice to get their 4 games at home, while the underdog only has to travel once for 3 home games.
It was only made 2-3-2 back when travel was an issue and the Lakers and Celtics were playing every year

I cant root for Giannis. He travels too much. Probably the first superstar in NBA history that wouldn't be picked in a random Y game. If you need to take 4 steps to do anything you're useless outside a rigged league.
