be interesting to see what Spurs do....I don't really have a problem with the Fox trade, they didn't know they were gonna get Harper in the draft.
It does seem like Harper just has to start and Fox doesn't really have a place on the team though. With the new tanking rules, I doubt he is too hard to trade but still with his contract, not sure you are getting much back.

RJ Barrett + Gradey Dick for Fox. Raptors need a real point guard, they'd ship off IQ next.
It's still a great year for the Spurs. Not knocking them. They took out the champs but ran into a sick buzz saw like we've rarely seen. Gonna have to figure out the average score first quarter and fourth in this series.
They need ti figure out that the Pop/Timmy era is over and create something brand new. Prime Pop easily wins this series.

I'm not sure who exactly but the Pistons desperately need a small forward who can create their own offense. A guy like Mark Aguirre or Adrian Dantley. And yea I'm not down on Duren. He's fine and he'd be even better on offense with the defensive gravity that hypothetical small forward would create.

RJ + Dick's salaries work for Fox's 1025-26 salary for 36 million, but that number kicks up to 50 million if the upcoming season ; I am not a cap guy at all, but not sure which salary would need to be matched... By the trade ideas that have been floating around, I think it is the latter and barely anyone, on the Raps' forums, like the trade...

You can keep him as a back-up or trade it for 50 cents on the dollar. either is fine.
I actually don't think they need to trade him this season but when the wemby/castle extensions will be in full effect, he will have to be gone by then

yeah I agree they can just keep him for a year but if that happens i don't see it as a backup, he's still got the reputation of a low end all star type, someone like that isn't just gonna accept coming off the bench most likely
reason why I think trading him now is possible is because it is possible his value is even lower a year from now

Especially these days when you're almost guaranteed to be filmed, likely blasted on the internet, and then criminally charged. It doesn't stop everyone, but I'm guessing it stops a lot more people than it would pre-phone camera days.
