We're not that bad, but Barca are in very good shape and clinical in front of the goal. Just like their Bayern game, I knew we were about to lose if we weren't up 2-0 at HT.

not at all, we've been trashed before by Barcelona and ended up winning multiple trophies right away.

this is not one of those instances where Barcelona is much better than us and there's nothing we can do about it, but Ancelotti is really bad this season, we know he won't change and the board wouldn't mind this being a transitional season until we get Xabi or Zidane in the summer, alongside with signings we should've made this year.

this has happened before, there's no urgency since we just won the double.

Don't have to, it's October. We don't look at things this early, you'd think you've learned by now. A lot of wishful thinking people like you thought Modric was RM's worst signing, while Song was the good one back in 2012 and Kroos was supposed to be sold in 2015. Relax, it's not a sprint.

Vinicius was the massive favorite for a year now, yesterday the odds were 1.05 in his favor. He was the favorite in every poll with 40%+ of the votes. Yesterday someone leaked the top30 list to a T and Vini was the winner on it. France Football informed RM & Vini a couple of weeks ago that he won it, told them to prepare everything. Events with journalists, streamers, Vini's entourage etc. + all the Nike stuff.

RM booked flights, hotels and everything, then canceled them today after supposedly being informed either by someone from Manchester City, or Fly Emirates that Rodri, who wasn't supposed to go to the ceremony because of his injury, has won the BdO and needs to go there. As Seedorf said it earlier at the ceremony, they turned it into a war between the Superleague and UEFA (who's involved in the BdO for the first time this year alongside Amaury Groupe).

I've seen on Twitter they put up memes of Vinicius on the screen, covered his face in photos, played Barcelona's anthem at the ceremony etc. They were trying to humiliate them and RM found out.

Rodri is just a pawn in all this, the guy probably doesn't even have a BdO clause in his contract. He wasn't even in PL's top8 last season, nor the best player in his team (Foden won both). Wasn't even in the FIFA best XI, nor the UEFA best XI. There were probably 10 players who had a better Euro than him. He wasn't even the best midfielder in the world, let alone the best player in the world.

Back then it was Messi vs Ronaldo and Barcelona vs RM. Anyone who follows football understands this is RM vs UEFA. Because they're not even trying to hide it by giving another one to Messi for Copa America, or someone who has the marketing excuse like Haaland, Mbappe or Bellingham.

heard the 100 journalist that were voting were told to also take "fair play" into consideration. Rodri is more likeable than Vini so that's where he lost it. I think Vini should have won it but OK, Rodri is tremendous as well

You can't be considered the best player in the world while at the same time you're not voted the best player in your league, the best player in your team, UEFA top 11, nor FIFA top 11. First time in the last 10 years when a player wins the BdO without winning the CL. You can't have such a huge disparity in odds & polls, but such a small difference in votes unless they were completely manipulated.

It's actually hilarious when you think about it, this might be the dumbest BdO ever. Look at how butthurt they are because RM didn't go to the ceremony and imagine how much they had to endure seeing RM thrive. And this is just the beginning.
