NCAA Basketball Thread 2024-2025
Quick OP here just to get us up and running
Things to watch for this year:
1. Can UConn 3-peat? Hurley won back to back
After starting 12-0, and beating a few teams from big conferences (though lower-level teams in those), and getting some votes for the top 25, Drake loses to Illinois-Chicago and Murray State.
Ah well, it was nice while it lasted. Back to mediocre.
LOL Vols. The best team in the country never loses by 30 and shoots 21% from the field.
No matter how good Tennessee might be or how highly they’re ranked, they’ll still have Rick Barnes.
Regular season Rick
Are you trying to say that the SEC is 185-21 in non-conference games this season? (Quick glance, I'm sure it is off maybe considerably). 16 teams with a total of 21 losses?
Duke now #1 in KenPom with the highest efficiency margin in quite some time.
Mick Cronin having himself a January.
Johni Broome just went down with what looked like a serious ankly injury. No air cast but he wasn't putting any weight on it. In the worst case scenario, thats gg Auburn.
KU's D in the middle of a healthy stretch
all the best figure vs each opponent this season (ppp)
#78 UCF: 0.62
#57 ASU: 0.82
#37 UC: 0.65

and it pains me to post this
Hell of a box score from Flagg. He set a freshman record with 16 ftm too. Only missed 1.
Hanging with Mr. Cooper Part Deux
He's generational !!!
hope we're able to nick one off them
gonna be tough tho
PAC I mean B12 after dark just isn't the same without Bill Walton.
Auburn is about to be close unanimous #1 in the AP poll. I think it goes #1 Auburn #2 Iowa State #3 Duke, with 1 or 2 votes actually going to Duke not Iowa State. Those 1 or 2 are about to have some fun with Auburn twitter.
Auburn is boat racing #15 Miss St. Auburn had nine blocked shots in the first half w/o Johni Broome, who is leading the team in blocked shots.
