Going into the game I thought the narrative was going to hurt the Chiefs, and Buffalo may get the 50:50 calls. That didn’t happen.

I wanted the Bills to win but I thought they were running on the right side of variance all season. They were injury free, they didn’t lose a fumble, they had an easy schedule to finish the season, opponents were dropping balls, etc. Seemed like it was there for them right up until Kincaid dropped the first down. Chiefs are too good and they were never getting the ball back after that.

fwiw Next Gen Stats put the chances that a player would catch the ball Kincaid dropped at 49%

Please have him in an all-out blitz into a burning house. Please! He can even drive an auto into it. Perhaps even a Home and Auto. Dragging a khaki clad Jake along and all diving onto a flaming fumblerooski.

Yeah, it was a tough catch but I wonder if he overran it or Allen psyched him out with the rushed throw? Can't blame him too much vs Andrews for the Ravens.

I used to rail against this same phenomenon with Saban and Bama. It was disgusting. Then breathtaking. As far as all these one-score game victories, I don't think Reid gets enough credit for sick play-calling that totally shreds the defense in the mega-moments, and then of course the Mahomes factor itself is off the charts. I guess the two factors together can produce about a hundred straight wins in tight games. Been wondering Mahomes total record in one-score games, and also Reids in each tenure. The kind of thing I used to love to run down. I might.

Reid's play calls at key moments seem kind of like Bobby Fischer chess moves or something. Just total misdirection and dominance.

First glance I've got Mahomes 39-22 in one score games before this streak started. 57-22?? On top of this year's sickness in 2022 I think it was they won 7 straight weeks by one score.

Seeing someone cited Reid at Philly as under .500 in one score games, 53-55. Different story at KC. Gonna try to check the pre-Mahomes years.

Reid pre-Mahomes at KC looks like 22-23 in one-score games.

I still believe it will be discussed for 2025. If it doesn't happen I will be surprised.

There was a saying about playing Bobby Fischer: you knew exactly (more or less) what he was going to do, but you were powerless to stop it.

I’d say Reid is a combination of Mikhail Tal with misdirection and Fischer with his dominance.

I’ve been thoroughly impressed with Reid’s play-calling in every high leverage spot I’ve seen this season.

2 people can make a market. As for this being offered on a wagering site I would think not.

Polymarket serves more than simply taking bets. Perhaps more importantly, they grade the bet and there is no dispute who wins and loses.

In this case how one would grade a "discussion" seems elusive. One could look at the committee's agenda. If the topic "extend replay assist for review of penalties" is there, it would not make the bet auto grade "yes", but additional information would be necessary that may not be available to the general public. Even something generic on the agenda such as "new items" raises the possibility of such a discussion.

Review of minutes may be possible, and that could be in the terms of the bet, but granular discussion that may not make the minutes is always possible.

Me believing that something might happen when at first appearance such seems unlikely is fine. It does not change my mind on what can or should be done. If it does not happen this year, there are future years when there will be opportunity as well.
