getting Minshew 2/25 with 15 guaranteed from the Raiders should make his agent a first ballot Hall of Famer.

The really nasty part for the Raiders is that that canceled out the Josh Jacobs compensatory pick.

oof, didn’t realise that

It was only a 5th, but given the state of the Raiders, they could probably use all the picks they can get

mind slightly boggled that the Saints paid 2/13 for the corpse of Brandin Cooks. 2.6 catches for 25.9 ypg and 0.3 TDpg last season

I find the WR market the most difficult to understand of all position groups

Jameis just took a big bite out of the Big Apple

They bury 'em above ground down in NOLA.

in turn a mean sub-lime retort by tom to taunt obese NO grass cadavers

I am so so so fucking here for jameis the giant

I am so so so ****ing here for jameis the giant

So am I, but this smells like an "anybody but Rodgers" management think.

Probably but that changes nothing

Taking Jameis over Rodgers is already a step in the right direction in getting past letting Saquon go.

Caution: Heavy rains may result in floaters.

Excuse me. I'm a-*cough* *cough* *cough*.

I literally asked for the Giants to sign Jameis. Or was it the Jets? Either way welcome to a new york sports team, let's eat some crab legs!!!

It's because New Orleans is below sea level.

It's because New Orleans is below sea level.

fully aware as a first generation decendent of ascention parrish
low lying lafayette and st louis rely upon elevation and stone to keep corpses from eroding

likely the same could be said about the saints

if by "elevation and stone" you mean "void years"

I have no idea what is going on.

New Orleans is below sea level and the Saints stay afloat by adding a bunch of void years to contracts.

Ahhh ty vm

to my ears void years sure sounds a lot like smoke and mirrors

Yeah, it is. It allows them to spread out cap beyond the years the contract actually if effective. But then it slams on them at the end if they don't reach an extension, I think. I don't remember exactly how it works, but I'm not the one kicking cap charges into 2028 in hopes of going 9-8.

By adding void years or years with huge, fake salaries, a club can spread a 1st year signing bonus over a longer period.

So eg we can sign player with a $20m signing bonus and a $2m salary. If that goes into the cap in 1 year then it’s $22m cap hit for this year but if we can add 4 void years then it’s a $6m cap hit for this year…1/5 of the signing bonus plus the $2m salary and then 4 successive hits at $4m per year for the following 4 years

Fw,

Do you secretly work for an NFL front office?

Fw,

Do you secretly work for an NFL front office?

Its a top secret deal where no money changes hands and no one listens to me but I invest hours and hours for no apparent reason
