All he talked about last week and this Monday was Shadeur (during the time I could listen).

though who would have guessed 'blazers tank for flagg' daily updates ran empty really quick
might be wrong and please honk if you heard this before in any fall football networking event,
but topical national radio broadcasts are a race toward mediocraty for the sake of ratings

the local ESPN afternoon sports radio in LV is actually pretty good (cofield & co in particular). yes they cover the local sports scene but they're brutally honest and not homers. they also cover a lot of national stuff and make fun of ESPN hot takes regularly which is great. of relevance to the NFL thread, they get a lot of Faiders inside info that usually turns out to be right.

Is Jim Rome even on the air? I know the Bay Area got rid of that years ago. Can’t imagine how much longer you’re doing radio if you keep losing major markets at 40 million a year or whatever insane contract he has

“The Jim Rome Show” — nicknamed The Jungle — will be moving to the 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET slot and be independently syndicated by Westwood One.
Rome hinted at the news when he teased a big show announcement for Monday in a post on X over the weekend."

Just to go full scrabble nerd, the max you could theoretically score playing JUSZCZYK would be 446, playing through an existing letter on the board and spanning two triple word scores with a Z on the double letter score (including the 50pt bonus for using all your tiles). Although that's assuming you had two real Z tiles, which doesn't exist in the game. Using a blank for the other Z would net you 356 instead.
