on an unrelated note... about that bottom five MIA secondary unit
sry again newguy. i'll let you buy out of our bet for $40 today if you want
No apologies necessary.
Seems like Sky Sports aren't renewing NFL coverage for us UK folk ffs
You want a real laugh? Look at the Dolphins' CB room. That's one of the worst I've ever seen. And that was before they lost one of them for the season the other day.
Rasul Douglas remains unsigned because he just said thanks but no thanks to Miami.
The Bills' Dane Jackson will most likely be cut at the end of training camp and put on the PS, but if he went to Miami, he'd instantly be CB1.
West room in the league.
Jack Jones gonna get so many picks off Jawsh
Come and play the NFL Thunderdome over at POG to pass the time while we all wait for the new season to start π
LOL
Courtland Sutton 4/93-41m re-up with the Broncos. I keep waiting for a WR market correction to happen but it doesn't seem to be a thing. It's a great world to be a slightly above average wide receiver! Over 7 seasons, Sutton has averaged 760 yards and 4.5 TDs
'only' $41m guaranteed is the only mitigation for the Broncos. He was already owed $14m for this season so they've only actually guaranteed another $27m...which probably means they can get out after the 2026

Sutton's been in the league for 7 years already? wtf.

Sutton has 18 TD's the last two years. That's not an accident. Russ wasn't Russ but he was way better than the turds they had the rest of Suttons career. Obviously Bo is a massive upgrade. He is probably the best contested catch receiver in the league. He also missed some time so be careful when you just quote season averages to try to prove a point.

This is like me trying to convince people Tua is a top 5 QB.
But worse.
someone who works for either caresource or paycor
Sutton is as much of a top 25 receiver as you are ****able
Since no one of true value really plays much in the preseason, and the NFL is 17 games for the regular season, would you guys agree that the first 3 or possibly even 4 weeks:
1. Doesn't actually tell you that much about any team, except for the true dumpster fires (See: NY; Giants, and Jets)
2. Serves as the psuedo preseason since all the regular players are just finally finding their bearings.
3. Should thus have more inherent variance results wise, where it's probably smart to bet on underdogs and bigger spreads.
?
Also 313! Go Lions!
imo the first 4 weeks tells you only a little about who is going to be good. I remember when the Giants went 5-0 and then failed to make the playoffs. Then there were those Patriots SB winning teams that were notorious for starting out poorly. And last year the Eagles started out 2-2. Etc etc. Of course none of that will stop the pundits from declaring who's going to make the Super Bowl after week 3.
I think we will see a bit of the starters tonight at least that's what I'm hoping.
